Tiles loading issues

What I don‘t understand is why all of a sudden? Bing Maps has been updated regularly since release and it never was a problem.

Never was a widespread problem as they were being updated. I first noticed last September or so, but it was rare. Others said they noticed it well before then, depends on where and how you were flying. The older the sim gets, the worse the tiling issue seems to get. It's widespread enough at this point that few are denying that it happens anymore, and it's not exclusive to Nvidia, AMD, or XBox.

Hi,

I had previously noticed it in the south of France (Provence and Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes), but it is the first time I have seen it with such a presence in Switzerland.

What can be the sudden origin of this issue?

Greetings

Today I've flown over Switzerland and when I was approaching Bern-Belp the tiles were popping out!

I checked the area around Bern today but I didn‘t see any tile popping, i.e. tiles with different imagery popping in like in Corsica. Do you always get tile popping there?

It is location dependent..

That‘s why I wanted to check it. But I couldn‘t see anything unusual in that particular place, nor in other parts of Switzerland.

I checked Belp, and at low altitudes the tiles are changing south of the airport, including the airport. Near Basel, I've even seen the ground elevation changing, similar to mountains morphing, but it's flat ground. Doesn't matter if the World Update is installed or not.

I checked again but couldn‘t see anything. There‘s a bit of terrain morphing going on, but that‘s always been a problem, esp. in Switzerland. But the aerial imagery stays the same, no matter how low I fly.

In Corsica, at a certain distance, tiles with completely different aerial imagery pop in. In some areas, also tiles with generic textures appear in addition to the two imagery layers. I can‘t see that in Switzerland, which means that either we‘re talking about something different or we don‘t get the same results.

Someone mentioned earlier that it gets better when crossing the Swiss border (from the South..)

Bert

I think the problem is located on their servers for ground textures. It looks like the textures don't match from a LOD level to the next.

It's now 3 years or so that they can't get the LOD of the meteoblue snow coverage right, I hope it won't take 3 years to fix that LOD problem with their textures...

From my experience, there are two separate but similar things going on with the textures. In one, like your Corsica photos, there are large sections of a completely different texture popping in. In the other, like several videos on the MSFS forum post about this, there is a gradual change as you approach the area, much more subtle, often just a shade darker/lighter. I've experienced both in Corsica, but only the latter in Sardinia. I think both would require the same fix, but I'm confident I'll be dead before Asobo fixes it. 😂

Seeing this all over the place in Central America. Just had it for about 100nm north of El Salvador flying north to south along the west coast. Added this to the thread in the official forum even though I don't think Jorg and Asobo will do a bloody thing about it as they kick the proverbial can down the road to MS2024.

Wow! You are not exaggerating! Just tried a flight from Isle of Man and the textures were a rolling carpet of fluorescent green.

Try 'FinalLight' Reshade filter to transform MSFS horrid greens.

The Google Map Mod reduces tile loading problems while giving higher quality tiles.

I just had a similar issue departing KDFW where the DFW scenery went super blurry and there were sudden ground gaps that threw my airplane in the air and crashing down.  Total disaster.  Never happened before.
