If you’re interested in participating in our weekly Screenshot Challenges, check out the details in the Community section below! Last weekend, during Sunday’s Xbox Games Showcase event, we were proud to reveal the first teaser trailer for the next generation sequel to Microsoft Flight Simulator coming next year: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! We have created a short FAQ that answers some of the most common questions we have seen so far. Our team is very excited to share more information about Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in the coming months. Also during the Xbox Games Showcase, we revealed the Dune expansion, an upcoming free DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) that will launch alongside the November 3 theatrical release of Dune: Part Two from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. To learn more about this expansion, check out the Xbox Extended Showcase where Jorg Neumann and Parris Lilly met with Dune’s Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette to tour the actual ornithopter prop used in the film and discussed bringing this fantastic flying machine to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Watch here at the Xbox Games Showcase Extended 2023! Monday starts with two new content updates to the current version of Microsoft Flight Simulator scheduled: City Update 2: France and Local Legend 09: Latécoère 631. City Update 2 includes a bespoke version of Le Bourget Airport (LFPB), home of next week’s Paris Air Show. Both of these releases will be available on Monday, June 19. Finally, the full release of Aircraft & Avionics Update 2 is almost ready to go. For this update, Working Title has made many significant improvements to the systems of the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. We are targeting the AAU_02 release for Thursday, June 29. Thank you to everyone who participated in the AAU_02 public beta test. The next few weeks will bring good additions to our hobby, I like how the new generation of flight simulator has been growing all this time. Thank you @polosim. Today is my first day back on the computer in exactly four weeks. Four weeks ago today, my three-month-old machine suddenly stopped working. It's a long story, but the machine ultimately had to be sent back to the factory for an entirely new CPU and motherboard. Thankfully, they were both still under warranty. While en route to the factory, however, UPS mishandled the shipment and the computer case and some of the fans were destroyed. The RTX 4090 suffered superficial damage but still works perfectly (thank heavens!). Because the shipment only had the default $100 insurance, I would have had to eat the loss of the graphics card had it been destroyed as well. So all things considered, I'm just very thankful to once again have a fully functioning computer here at the house. It arrived at noon today. Ya that's a possibility I guess 😟 , and even though it's in their interest to distribute out the information drip drip over months, it's also very much in their interest to provide some clarity and details at a flight sim conference like FSExpo (they're surely going to get asked some obvious questions which they'll have to answer), also especially given all the confusion raised in some of the community. Also given what the head of MS/XBox studios has already let slip about core sim improvements, I'm assuming they'll reveal more at FSExpo... hoping at least 🤞 Edited June 16, 20232 yr by lwt1971 Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD

They may get so much pushback that they pull a disappearing act. Eric

The E3 conference happened on the last day of FSE so they wouldn't have been able to attend without spilling the beans. Many people were upset that they didn't choose FSE as the place to make the big announcement but that would have been a foolish thing for MS to do. I'd choose E3 over FSE in a heartbeat. Now however, the cat is out the bag long before FSE so there's nothing stopping them from giving additional information there but as I said, the evidence is pointing towards them saying they'll have more infor to share at a later date. I do hope I'm wrong. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

I do hope I'm wrong. I think MS owe it to those that have made MSFS 2020 such a successful commercial success, hopefully we are given more info/intentions regarding MSFS v2 and the MSFS v1. It will surely be more beneficial to them as many will just stop buying addons. The same fate as to what happened to other older platforms could happen to MSFS 2020, after all they will still need income to fund current cost for what's already available. Personally I will continue to buy add ons for MSFS. June 19, 20232 yr Yes, +1 Really hope they Asobo & Microsoft can give *a bit more info* about MSFS-2020/24 on FSExpo 2023 😊 next Friday! 👍atleast clarify som things.. Fingers crossed!
June 19, 20232 yr I think if they're NOT going to say anything at FSE, the smart thing to do would be to let us know from now. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
