Thanks for this helpful information. By the way, I understand OnAir has already developed a work-around to be able to recognize the newly released A2A Comanche.

Does Neofly allow to fly the Comanche?

  • Have you tried or looked at A Pilot's Life:  Chapter 2?  One time fee of I think $30, and has a lot of very cool features for a career in MSFS but the focus is on commercial airlines and their actual

  • The one thing that kept me from trying it is that it seems to be primarily oriented at flying the larger aircraft, the exact opposite of Neofly which is mostly limited to bush / air taxi type of flyin

Yes to both. @bionictruck already talked about NeoFly above so I'll just confirm that OnAir also lets you stick with whatever aircraft(s) strikes your fancy. You can get as big -- or stay as small --

Yes it does. However, it doesn't register engine start and therefore you can't complete your mission

It should be already there. Go to settings->MSFS addons and select A2A Comanche

ahhh you are right! it has to be new addition as I saw it 2 days ago or so and didn't see it. Thanks! Now need to wait for the A2A update to allow FSEconomy, Airhauler, etc simconnect issue solution.

Yep I'm anxiously waiting for that!

I don't use NeoFly and I'm curious:  is there any mode you can start in to get you into a plane you want to fly right away, or do you have to "work your way up" as it were?  I'm moderately proficient in four airliners but I'd like to do some lighter aircraft flying which I used to do for decades until the current one.

Yes they have. There was a post yesterday on their Discord stating:

We published an update including a workaround to fly the new A2A Piper PA-24-250 Comanche until A2A publish an update to fix the Piper PA-24-250 Comanche compatibility with standard MSFS SimConnect engines variables. To start a flight with the A2A Piper PA-24-250 Comanche, click the “Force Engine On detection” button in the flight tracking page before departing

Yes you can fly "freelance". Any plane but reduced rewards. I haven't done it yet but looks like everything is available.

I’m curious about this mode. I spent real money on the Kodiak 100 and I want to use it with this app. If anyone has any insights, please share.

Does anyone know if the Kodiak’s different interior configs are supported?… like cargo only, passengers only, or a mix? The beta version locked you to a livery which meant you could not swap Kodiak configs based on the job.

The database is is not encrypted so if you download a freeware database editor you can pretty much give yourself whatever money, aircraft and endorsements you want - though that sort of takes away the entire point of have a "career" .

Again you can use a database editor to change the livery of your current aircraft if you want.

I use the freeware DB Browser for SQLite the file you need to open for V4 is  ..\AppData\local\Programs\Neofly\std.bin

Ok, so this hasn't changed. Thanks.

I wish there was an option to fly whatever you want and just use the app for mission generation.

Have to admit that I'm starting to like N4. It's more than Skypark but less than OnAir or AH2.

It's a very good mix for a career add-on and you can't beat the price, jeezz

This does exist now; it's called "freelance" mode.  Just load up in any airplane you want, at any airport you want, and click the freelance tab in Neofly.  A variety of jobs will be generated for the current airplane based on the distance parameters you select.  It's really a great way to end up exploring some places you wouldn't have gone otherwise, and the mission variety is cool too.  I've been using it to explore New Guinea and it's great for that.

Also, the current version of the Comanche works well with NF4, so I've used it to send me to some GA airports in the US too.  It's really kind of fun!  👍

Only issue I am having is the Neofly 4  automatic fuel top up and fuel usage feature does not seem to work as expected, as Neofly uses the default MSFS fuel loadout and the Comanche has its own.
