I am impressed so far and compared to

PILOT'S FSG - FS GLOBAL ULTIMATE - NG 2020 FTX P3D4 P3D5

it is huge lift for P3D V5.

200GB needed for installation!

Is it worth it?

Well I tried it out yesterday and it seemed to improve some areas compared to the previous release (e.g. alps). However, I was fortunate to get it for free since I recently bought the previous version so I might be a bit biased 😀

I personally won't buy it. I already have earlier version of their mesh, no need new one.

I've tried previous versions.

Considering the space required and hassle of the download, my answer is no.

There is a critical review of this software on this site that includes comparative screenshots. If you're considering purchase, you'll want to dig that out.

It's worldwide mesh.  It's not small.

It will take some time to download, but that's hardly a hassle.

Previous versions have all been quality work.    If you're a previous owner, you can e-mail the publisher for a deep discount (nearly 60 percent) off the price.

Once I know how to upgrade I plan to get it.  I purchased the 2020 version

I have version 2020 and got email with 60% discount, however if i sum up purchase of 2020 plus discounted version 2024 then price of whole package starts to be a little out of my mind...

It cost me 47 euro after so it is reduced

with 40 euro i activate the code from

Fs pilots.

I used to have the Ultimate mesh by Pilots and it was very good quality.

However, I stopped using very high resolution mesh as it causes problems.

Any mesh with <38m resolution can cause issues.  The stock vector data was designed around a 38 or 76m mesh base, so using 5m mesh for example can cause elevation discrepancies affecting some lakes, rivers, and airports.

Frankly, 38m resolution is good enough for me.

Just my 2c.

Simulator: P3Dv6.1

System Specs: Intel i7 13700K CPU, MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk Motherboard, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Video Card, 3x 1TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 2280 SSDs, Windows 11 Home OS

I never heard of this product before. Is this just a mesh program? Does it significantly improve the vanilla P3Dv6 terrain quality? Thanks.

Pete Locascio

Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, Nvidia RTX 5090, Samsung 9100 Pro 2&4 TB Drives, 64 GB RAM, Asus Z-890 motherboard.

It is a worldwide mesh program.   It does significantly impove vanilla terrain quality, but as Dave alluded to in the post before your own, what cost is there in terms of elevation problems in other areas, the biggest in my mind is airports.

A swiss developer of Canadian sceneries in v5 warned users that setting mesh settings too high can significantly interfere with elevations at airports and sloped runways.

Super update as far as mountains go, but I'd be wary about changing everything globally and how that may mess with specific airports.    I simply don't have the experience with v6, but if v5 is a comparable, its worthy of trying to obtain details from the developer.     You may be able to turn off certain continents if I can remember how the install works, but thats hardly ideal.
