Flying tips on the Fenix V2

Before anyone posts that this pilot only knows the Boeing 737, he is also type rated on the A 320.

Fun fact he is not type rated on the A320 he is still in training for the A330. He likes to think he knows about the 320 when in fact he does not and keeps comparing the 320 to a 330 when you have the likes of Blackbox and V1 Simulations telling you different. The comments on other videos proves that.

Oh Bob. He’s not a typed Airbus pilot at all, he’s never even flown a 320 sim let alone be typed in it. Self proclaimed First Officer Expert.

Well he says he is training on the A330, but the video is still relevant whatever the case, and it is good advice.
I never realised the Airbus adjusted itself to hold pitch when the flaps were raised / lowered.
So I found the video useful whatever his status, and he is just trying to help people, so I don't understand the hate.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Give the guy a break. He's trying to help us as a flight sim community. He is 737 type rated but soon to be A330 type rated. Ill admit I'm not the biggest fan however he is sharing information. He probably has more flight experience than  most people here put together. Take it or leave it.

The amount of content he put out on YouTube is almost like full time job. Not sure how has time to fly or do anything else LOL

Armchair pilot thinks they’re better than someone flying real aircraft 😂😂😂😂

He is fun to watch but he did put some questionable things once in a while. Not saying he not type rated or not pilot but definitely he projects his expertise beyond something he knows.

Has nothing to do with hate. He decided to change his style of videos to aggressively attack developers trying to improve the community, all of his latest videos shifted from informative and entertaining to gossip. Unfortunately his true colors popped out and his knowledge is far below his ego. As a professional pilot, it’s important to not fall into the traps created by ego. He lacks this entirely. This isn’t hate, this is accountability and he’s been lacking that since the channel got to his head and the “label” of PMDG Tech Team. And yes, I also provide technical information for developers and am a real world airline pilot as well. It’s important to recognize and accept your mistakes, also to make sure pride never comes first.

You would be quite surprised to be honest with what people on here have experience on. Ranging from pilots, cabin crew etc.

Who are people more likely to believe an actual A320 pilot with far more experience or someone who is still training either way it still requires a differences course to be typed between the 320/330. May vary country to county. In the UK even though I had done my training on the 320/21 I was still rated on the 330 but would have to do a difference course.

Even Fenix had to effectively tell him stop comparing to a 737/330 because of the differences.

Ya he is surely pumping out videos at a rapid rate geared towards "click bait" I wonder how much time is he actually flying in the RW these days. No hate here just an observation.

OK.  Well it is always good to get another side of the story to enable a balanced view.

I had heard he was possibly a bit unkind to the Fenix crew at times, and I thought this was maybe due to his links to PMDG, which is strange as they are not real direct rivals making the same product.  At the same time, others thought he was just being very direct with his comments.

Over inflated egos can always generate problems, but I am not aware of the other historical issues you mention.  All I can do is watch a few videos from now on and form my opinions from there.

Thanks for telling your part of the story anyway.  The video above stands on its own really.  If he continues the with the persona you have mentioned, I am sure the flight sim community will call him out in the future - we like nothing better!

If anything he started hate on the E175 guys then started hating on TFDI then carried on. Every video he has comments telling him how different it actually is. Even when people correct him which he does not like because you can tell he won't reply but will to others.

Sounds like he is not making many friends for himself then.
Like I say, for the ones unaware of all this history (like me), all we can do is watch his videos (if they appeal to us), and form our opinions from there.
My comment was based on watching that single video above, so I didn't understand the strong response to it.
I won't go back in time to watch his older videos - from what you say they might not be too good to watch.
