EFB on the PMDG 777

Featured Replies

In one of the videos of a full flight in the 777 I noticed that there was an EFB available, but the 777 200 LR base I own for P3D and have now installed in v6 doesn't have it available ?

Is it only added when one buys one of the modern 737s with EFB ?

You have to enable it through the FMC as an equipment option

... and (as far as I know) you have to own the 777-200ER Expansion Pack.

Kind regards, Matthias

Thanks guys, and it's probably the 200ER missing because I do not have that options, at least that I could find it, in the FMC PMDG menus 😕

none of the current "purchases" suggest that.. nor suggest an EFB is "inherit/included"

This is incorrect

The 777-200ER does indeed mentions the inclusion of an electronic flight bag in one of their bullet points.

Yes, how is it then?
Without the -200ER expansion I can't activate the EFB either... With the -200ER expansion installed it works.

I stand corrected then. I totally forgot about how that caused a bit of drama.

No problem, I was just wondering if I had overlooked something... 😉

I do not use EFB at all, I pref. programming everything via the FMC and done. My opinion.

I had the 200ER expansion for fsx, and later bought the base 777 for p3d, but it's too expensive now.

I am on p3dv6 and will stick with it, waiting for any conversions / migrations to be offered.

Maybe PMDG decides to make it cheaper for owners of the new "Personal" license.

My good friend I don’t want to discourage anyone but IMHO we have a better chance of  being trampled by a herd of unicorns then seeing PMDG do anything more for us P3D customers. If you ask on their forum you will be somewhere between politely ignored or scolded by one of the fan boys. Just my experience as of late. They have pretty much gone to the MSFS. Sorry for my pessimism.

I have my theory about that, and the future of other developers moving into MFS that way... but that's a different and unrelated story and what matters, at least to me, is that I am enjoying p3dv6 already more than I did the other 2 Sims in the last 2 years...

Agree 77 bucks for an unsupported software expansion is a bit too pricey for me
