Yup, or lifting their feet off the pedals... 🙂 It is fun to fly.. but frankly, I prefer the RV14A for any of my sightseeing trips..

  • For Helis, the default Cabri is pretty good and not difficult to fly if you are fairly new to rotary winged flight..  If you feel like buying something, the Gotfriends Mini 500 is inexpensive, has a f

Hard to beat this one for sight seeing 😉:

Considering that I managed to virtually kill myself in the Top Rudder I find it quite reckless that one can fly this thing in the real world without a license or training.

Not requiring medical and registration I can get behind, but the most basic training on flight maneuvering should be mandatory.

Probably these seat-of-the-pants type aircraft are easier to fly in real life than virtual since we miss most of the haptic feedback from the aircraft.

While I agree, I think it's ridiculous that any rando can go out and buy one of those things and fly it around, but meanwhile if I want to take pictures with my drone I have to jump through a million hoops and install an ADS-B analog on it.  And if I want to sell any of those pictures I need to get a part 107 certificate and, in my state anyway, register as an airline and pay the same amount in fees the guy running 5 Gulfstream charter jets pays.

I think that is not as ridiculous as it sounds. Every rando basically has enough cash lying around to buy a drone and wreak mayhem and havoc if they so desire. The skies over cities would be totally out of control.

But not every rando has enough cash lying around to buy an Ultralight Aircraft, so the risk of the skies getting all clogged up from sunday pilots are much lower. 😉

As others have said, helos are great for low and slow.
from the current selection, the default Cabri is very good with great visibility, and as it’s an IRL trainer, it’s easy to fly.

for medium speed, I prefer one of the warbirds with a bubble canopy (Flying Iron Spitfire or Hellcat). I also really enjoy their P-38 because of the even higher cruise speeds.

for true Hi Speed, best view of any is the frameless canopy, low cockpit rail F-16 cockpit.
though the free Hornet C and free Hornet E are both acceptable, too.

And the randos that are inclined to do that are already doing it - their videos are all over Youtube. Those of us who follow the rules have to pay a ton of money to go commercial; meanwhile, those who don't want to follow rules, or don't even know the rules exist, don't have to pay that money and can therefore price us out of business.

The FAA has a tendency to say "we're going to put the screws to you hard if you agree to do what we say, but if you ignore us... -shrug-"    See: 737 Max.

The real sounds of the Double Ender have more bass, throatier than the MSFS version.
