Hello,

Good morning,

Normally with the WT GNS 530, it retrieves the loaded flight plan (.pln) during the aircraft + flight selection phase. With the TBM 850, I cannot do this step and the flight plan is not imported into the WT GNS 530 of the TBM 850.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Thank you Bert Piéke for taking an interest in my problem.

When I launch the Comanche 250 or the PA28-turboarrow with a .pln flight plan, after having put AVIONIC MASTER...ON, the GNS 530 takes time to initialize then asks to validate "OK" twice. And there, the flight plan is active.

With the TBM 850, after putting AVIONIC MASTER...ON, the GNS 530 takes time to initialize and then asks you to validate "OK" twice. And there, the flight plan is not taken into account.

Do you also have this problem or am I the only one? Because entering the flight plan in the 530 for a TBM 850 flight (Airport-SID-waypoint-STAR-Approach-Airport) is really tedious.

Is the plan missing on the vfr map as well?  V key..

I just tested it, and I see what you are seeing.  The reason it has not bothered me is that I typically use the TDS GTN 750 as my primary GPS.  I have noticed the flight plan missing on the VFR map, however, and it appears to go together with the GNS flight plan missing..

For what it is worth, the A36 Bonanza seems to display the same behavior, whereas the Comanche does not.. Why, I do not know.

Suggest posting the question on the JustFlight forum, where the author may be able to shed some light.. 😉

OK, tested some more... try this:

Open up the VFR map (V key).  If the flightplan is missing there as well, zoom in and out on the map, using the mouse wheel.  When I did that, the flightplan suddenly appeared..

If that does not do it, check the NAVLOG option at the top of the screen..  something needs to be triggered to get the flightplan activated..

Have moved this to a separate post, maybe someone else can jump in..
