TFDi Design granted access to the MD-11...

Is the $80 pre-order still available in that if you pre-order today, you get immediate access? I am not sure I fully understand the process.

Cheers, Pete

This is the collector’s edition, it was a limited slot purchase to the first 1000 buyers. If you buy now you get access, 60 days from today, to the early access version.

from my understanding

Those pre order's were all sold out slots to have early access. The rest of us have to wait 2 more months.

Is there still any benefit to pre-ordering, or does it just make sense to wait until release?

Cheers, Pete

The Extended Simulation Package will include operational failures, an advanced custom failures menu, and some circuit breaker functionality.

  • Base Pack (Cargo or Passenger): $70 USD
  • Expansion (The One You Did Not Purchase Already): $10
  • Extended Simulation Package: $5

During the presale and subsequent early access period, all packages are combined into a single Presale Edition for the price of $80 USD.

From what I can understand the only benefit is you would get is that all of the above (3 bullet points) combined into one edition for the price.

Got it, thanks! Seems like a small potential savings. I suppose I will just hold off until it is released.

Personally, regardless of the developer, I tend to not the jump to gun. Usually wait a week, after release, while reviewers like ITB make someone or there's nagging bugs to get sorted before I drop £80 (I know it's in US, couldn't be bothered to convert) on an addon.

Though that's just me. Judging by Zangoose's comment on an early access period, I'd still be able to acquire all 3 portions even after waiting.

I tend to agree with that philosophy, especially at the asking price. It may very well be worth the price, but I also prefer to wait until the smoke clears.

To both P3D and MSFS versions?

Am I the only one disappointed about the progress status of the MD11? I’m a huge fan of the MD11 and will of course purchase, but in those YT videos this looks still awfully rough, imho.

Cheers,

Pete

Been down this road before with the recent  XPlane version. This plane needs a lot of polish.

Twitch streams have been even worse. long ways to go from what I have seen, Approach and landing behavior looks dreadful.
