November 29, 20232 yr Author sim pilots don't know/care for this runway sign issue and give a fax, and many 3rd party scenery designers have no clue either and simply copied Asobo's mistakes. not the end of the world, but not real world either. have to hurry now and catch my real world A320, to where the sun shines on real runway signs. see you later everybody. 😊 AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
November 29, 20232 yr Well, for me, all this signage is just stuff I try and avoid crashing in to if I ever actually bother to taxi anywhere around an airport. I've seen the numbers on there but just assumed it was something to do with in-flight bingo. Still, like IRS says above - "whatever floats your boat". Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

You can argue back all day, but just go over the official forums and look at things that have been upvoted many times and left without any response from Asobo, or politicians answers in a controlled Q&A. In fact I wish they would remove that voting option, it would save all the false hope. Obviously the wish list and bugs list with upvotes is not the be-all and end-all of their prioritization, nor should it be.. it is one external input to their internal process of prioritizing and deciding where to allocate dev resource. And a great many items on both the wishlist and bugs with high votes *have* been addressed over the past 3 years of SUs, WUs, AAUs, etc. And yes, many still haven't. But still better to get items on that list or bring to their attention than not. So yeah, we all know the sim has positives and negatives, no one in their serious mind would say everything is perfect and rosy. It comes down to what are deal-breakers for you... Thankfully for me, default ATC being wonky, or errant catering trucks, or incorrect runway signs haven't caused me to rage quit yet, given all what I do find positive in the sim. And I have my specific areas/issues which I'd like addressed too, but that doesn't mean I cope with that by proclaiming that MSFS is only focusing on visuals, or that those who don't rage about my issues must be only caring about "spotting their local school on takeoff" 🙂, or other silly hyperbole. FllightOne's BKSQ product didn't address/fix/mention any runway signs. Taxiway signs and runway signs are created using exactly the same process if using the SDK airport editor. I’ve never really paid attention to whether they are correct or not when using Real Taxiways but I shall look more closely. My point is that those who don't find some of the specific sim shortcomings as important as you might, don't then necessarily fall into that category of only being interesting in finding their house, and nor does it mean that MS/Asobo are *only* focusing on visuals. Payware developers normally need to model their own signage if they want something more accurate.
November 29, 20232 yr I just take off my glasses so I can't read the signage---problem solved! As a bonus this also makes the rest of the flight a real adventure in guessing what's going on in the cockpit.
