I believe I have fixed the compatibility issue with 2020 1.2.7.0 and it is now working on my Steam install. Can someone with an MS Store MSFS version please try out https://github.com/ResetXPDR/DynamicLOD_ResetEdition/releases/download/v0.4.0-test/DynamicLOD_ResetEdition-Installer-v0.4.0-test3.exe and let me know if that now works for you. If it does, please tell me what offsetModuleBase value you now have in your 2024 config file. If not, please message me your log file. Thanks.

I've had confirmation that MSFS_AutoFPS now works with MS Store 2024 version, and that uses the same memory checking code as DynamicLOD_ResetEdition I put in test 3, so it looks like we're up and running again. Test 3 or later is what you need.

That's the danger of me giving direct links to content that I subsequently delete due to obsolescence. I'm glad you found the newer version and that it is working properly.

Just an FYI, following some housekeeping and memory test updates the 2024 updated app is now up to Test version 6, which should be close to the final release version.

If you are running an earlier test version without issues, there is no need to update but I would appreciate it if a few adventurous types update to Test 6 and confirm I didn't break anything while cleaning things up. Thanks.

Working perfectly here. I reset the 3 altitudes lower because doing GA plane. Changed the LODs too.

All working and digital displays in the boxes reflect current conditions perfectly.

I would like to have a - option top right to move the window to the taskbar. All I see now is an X which I guess would stop the app?

If I pause the sim, the 0FPS display will drop from 72 or 68 down to 39. And then go back to about 70 when unpausing the sim. It seems to always drop to a low number when the sim is not in focus even is sim and flight is unpaused and the flight is still going on.

I can't use this app the way it is now. It will only work once after installing it. Once you close the app, regardless if msfs is running or not, then when you click on the desktop icon to boot up Dynamic Load it does boot up and shows that it has in task manager, but does NOT display on the screen. It is now invisible.

The only cure is to run the installer again. And then for exactly one session Dyn Lod app will be visible on the monitor for exactly until you close it. After that I can never see the app window again until running the installer .exe file again.

 

In fact when DL is running but invisible, if I enter ALT TAB to show all the windows that are running, Dynamic Lod is not shown at all. But it is running according to task manager. And if I click the icon to try and start it, a message pops up and says that it is already running.

The app window is not shown on the screen nor on the taskbar nor in the hidden icon box. But it is running. and when I click on the icon:

So, I deleted the app.

To use it I would have to delete the folders of the app.

Reinstall the app.

Reconfigure all the settings.

At which point I could only use it until I stopped the app. After that, it won't run.

So, its gone now. Too bad, it works great when it displays.

To be frank, pretty much every question or issue you have encountered above is covered in the readme, so you could have easily self-helped your way through this. If you do wish to try either of my apps again, I suggest you read the readme files first.

I only have had only have one issue, not many. The app would only display once, and it does not put any icon on the taskbar nor into the systray. 

But after some hours, I found the cure. It is a general cure for any app misbehaving as above. In other words, a windows bug.

Open Windows setting and search on "systray".

select "Control which system tray icons appear on the taskbar"

Find Dynamic Load Reset Edition. the slider will be in OFF. Turn it to ON. (this will not help right now but... ).

Close Dynamic Load . And turn that slider to OFF again. (That is where it was in the first place)

Whereas before the icon never appeared in the systray, now it always will. At least for me.

As I stated, the app works fine if you can see the window. Which, now I can.
