April 20, 20251 yr DynamicLOD_ResetEdition version 0.4.6 has just been released and is available for download here. Thanks go out to everyone who participated in and provided feedback during the relatively short test phase (due to all changes having been developed, tested and proven in MSFS_AutoFPS). Summary of Changes Functional Changes: None. Improvements & MSFS 2024 SU2 Support: UserCfg.opt Backup & Restoration: Added automatic backup at flight start and restoration at flight end to ensure proper MSFS settings recovery. Users are prompted to restore backups if a previous session didn’t exit cleanly. Improved MSFS Connection Handling: Increased attachment retries to 15 over a longer duration, improving reliability in detecting the MSFS version during startup. Enhanced Flight Session Detection: Restricted required camera states to cockpit, external, or drone view to eliminate false session starts caused by inconsistent MSFS 2024 behavior. Expanded Redistributables Installation: Added an option to install the latest Visual C++ Redistributables and .NET 8 runtime, mandatory for initial installations, optional for manual updates, and disabled for quick updates to avoid UAC prompts. Updated MSFS 2024 Memory Offset Search: Now starts from the last known working offset and expands systematically, speeding up detection after MSFS updates. Improved LSFG & FG Detection: Now occurs every 5 seconds, aligning with VR detection frequency and reducing unnecessary app interaction. FSR3 FG Behavior Adjustment: Updated to reflect observed MSFS 2024 SU2 implementation, ensuring FPS values correctly display at twice the base target. More Reliable FG Detection: FG settings are now read directly from UserCfg.opt instead of MSFS memory, improving accuracy and allowing automatic adjustments when the user changes settings mid-session. New Sim Rate Detection: Now displays sim rate values from 0.125× to 16× on the app status line for any value except 1X. Additional FSUIPC7 Registry Key Support: Installer now recognizes MSFS2020-only and MSFS2024-only installations for autostart configuration. April 21, 20251 yr Hello, I've started using MSFS 2024 (non-beta) with the FENIX A320. Everything is going well, but I experience a lot of stuttering when approaching certain airports (e.g., EGLLL 2024 Inibuilds). I use the MSFS AI aircraft feature, but only on the ground. I should point out that I limit my FPS to 30 in Nividia. Here's my graphics configuration: Regarding the MSFS Adaptive LOD application, does it improve FPS or eliminate stuttering? Note: I haven't read all 88 pages of this thread, sorry, reset XPDR. Eliminate stuttering, probably not but will certainly help reduce them. By the sounds of it you have not used this application before, which does require at least some tweaking to get the best result from it, in which case I suggest you try MSFS_AutoFPS instead as it gives the simplest automated experience of the two apps I look after. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

Thank you for your advice. Since the "MSFS Auto FPS App" discussion is 90 pages long, could you recommend a section that covers loading, installation, and "beginner" setup? There are quite a few users who prefer the original DynamicLOD_Reset Edition version, some of whom have asked me to keep it going with 2024 and most of whom want it to stay exactly the way it is. The changes I roll in to it from AutoFPS are core improvements that don't affect functionality, that maintain code commonality and have already been tried and tested in AutoFPS. As such, it is not much effort for me to roll out a DynamicLOD_Reset Edition update with such changes each time I drop a major AutoFPS update, so I do. May 6, 20251 yr I am pleased to announce the release of DynamicLOD_ResetEdition version 0.4.7, now available for download here. New for this release is a pdf version of the readme, either available online here or in the app's bin directory. Don't get too excited - the pdf version just preserves the formatting seen when viewing the standard readme online, but it is something AutoFPS users have asked for so I may as well do it here too. As usual, no functionality changes and just some general improvements inherited from recent AutoFPS development efforts that IMO are worth the upgrade, namely: Improved LSFG detection to support language variations in the default profile name. Added display of detected MSFS version on the connection status line. Enhanced the restoration of MSFS settings upon exiting a flight session to ensure that changes to non-app-controlled settings made during the session are preserved. Fixed app shutdown code that may have been causing the app to not close automatically all the time when MSFS exits, Enhanced logic to manage detected dual MSFS installations by automatically selecting the most recently used installation. Reinstated the ability for an app session to commence when an MSFS 2024 flight is started in walkaround mode. Improved MSFS attachment reliability and version detection. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

The AutoFPS or DynamicLOD Appand shows suddenly the 2d screen FPS value, wich is not capped and therefor mostly higher in my case. Meanwhile the app causes huge stutters when running and panning views during flight. I need to shutdown the app, restart the app, and then it captures the 45 capped FPS again and is silkysmooth. I reproduced this issue 2 times with AutoFPS and DynamicLOD 0.4.4.9 ResetEdition version 0.4.6 I am on MSFS2024 1.3.23.0 (non BETA) Is there any cause in the app for this? Steps to reproduce: Capp Varjo Base FPS at 45 under "verticalSynchronisation" by enabling it at 45FPS, 30 is also possible. I use 45. Start MSFS2024 Start a flight (PMDG777 MSFS 2024 in my case) Start the app AutoFPS or DynamicLOD Reset edition Enable/turn the HMD power on Enable VR In AutoFPS app settings: Target 45 FPS 39 Expert options checked IFR Type AutoMethod FPS Sensitivity TLOD MIN 75 TLOD MAX 250 VRAM+ = OFF All fine....untill at least one hour later......AutoFPS or DynamicLOD reset looses the 45 fps and shows higher FPS count, wich equals the NON 45 FPS capped frames. Thanks in Advance! Marcus I have not heard of this happening before. I fly in VR, with an FPS cap set to 40 by the Quest 3's virtual desktop app, and use AutoFPS pretty much exclusively and have never experienced a reversion to unlocked or 2D FPS after an hour of use, even after 3 hour sessions. The only ways that what you're experiencing can logically happen is that either your Varjo software is dropping its FPS cap for some reason or the MSFS memory address that AutoFPS and DynamicLOD uses to monitor MSFS's VR state is providing an erroneous state after an hour. The best way to deal with this is for you to direct message me here the contents of one of your app log files from when this happens. No need to send the whole log file, just the time marks 5 minutes before, when it happens and 5 minutes after when your settings go haywire. Unfortunately, here at Avsim you cannot attach the file directly, so you can either cut and past the contents into a personal message or provide a link to another source hosting the file. Also of note for future use for a better experience is that when using AutoFPS with an FPS cap like you are doing, you should be using the FPS Cap automation mode with the target FPS set to the same as your cap ie. 45, but either way it should not have any effect on what you are currently experiencing.
