Frame generation for all RTX cards

Does this work best with TAA or DLSS?

In my 1080p and 3060Ti, I find TAA is better. Even with the higher framerate, DLSS display ghosting is not solved. That's an Issue I don't have with TAA.

Yes, I tried FG and I loved the results. However, I still need to tune the sim: with no frame limiter at all, I get some pauses. I find RTSS frame limiter (using Noel's method) works, but I need to find a new sweet spot. I've recently added FSHud, and that hammered my CPU like no otther.

I have to forego VRR because of the other sims I have, and the fact that, using DP, my monitor does not like running at 30 Hz. Using HDMI, 30 FPS (in a 120 Hz monitor) feels smoother, but I lose VRR. I'll keep trying tonight.

But now I understand why all the fuss with FG. Looks promising 😁

Ok thanks - found the Xbox App. But I will plan on moving the install after I get more space with a larger SSD!

That's not needed... I know it says you need like 175GB on your harddrive, but it actually only uses 2,5GB or something.

Can somebody explain this message i get:

https://ibb.co/gZFNfF5

I have 2060 Super graphic card

I've enabled HAGPUS, disabled v-sync in msfs and enabled it in Nvidia ctrl panel and carefully followed all the installing procedures..

PS It's not overheating! It's not overclocked! The driver is the latest.

If you move it to a different folder on the same drive, it will not take up any additional space.

Just create a C:\MSFS folder and move it there.

Okay, had a short test flight.... As i was taxiing to the runway I was in heaven... Best and most fluid performance I have ever seen. Few minutes into the flight I had the worst stutters I have ever seen.  They lasted until the arrival gate. Terrible. I´m on RTX 2060 super, TAA, DX12 and adaptive lod in use. Maybe not my cup of tea.... Sad.

You ran out of GPU RAM.
Not much you can do about that, unfortunately. You could lower your settings or your resulution, though...

That's interesting. Is it really under WindowsApps your install?

Nope, default is here:

Hey Noel, if you're trying this what adjustments, if any, are you making to your frame rate settings in RTSS in regards to keeping FRV down?

Just starting myself last night pretty late.  I was not sure what role locking frames via NVCP mattered, so set Max Rate there at 1000, then used RTSS with its hotkeys to adjust rate and unlock outright.   I did a frame capture at 70fps and all was great except PMDG 738's HUD had artifact but everything else was fine.  So actual rate was 35, doubled to 70.  I ran a frame variance capture and it looked good, in terms of retaining excellent FTV.  TBH, it's pretty much as I thought because I've certainly run at 60FPS with my method and the difference is definitely there, but in no way trumps what came out of the method I use at half the frame rate, i.e. at 33-34FPS which is where I've been since this time last year, and which my hardware can deliver.  This being said, in order to keep the headroom I argue is worth keeping, I'll likely settle into a real frame rate of 30, doubled to 60 using the FSR mod.

Right now getting setup for test flight #2, I reset NVCP max to 60, and RTSS to 58, to see if anything happens w/ the HUD artifact.

I was happy I didn't jump to RTX 4000 series, though may when I rebuild, but mainly to pickup VRAM.

And, the artifact re the HUD I see now happens whenever zooming when the GSX menu, ATC window, World Map, etc are displaying, and this isn't good at all.  I'll play around with it and if this doesn't resolve will likely get rid of the mod and hopefully a better version will appear down the road.  This artifact isn't related to the RTSS settings as those are disabled now, i.e. frame rate limiter is off.

I was really happy with this hack until I found that I suffer from terrible shimmering in all glass cockpits, especially the 787, has anyone else seen this happening?

I think it's a great start, but it's got issues for sure and I expect those will get addressed hopefully sooner than later.

Ok, here are two other problems.  I have a second screen out of the mainboard's video output port that I use while flying for other stuff, so it's not connected to my 3080Ti,  If I move the cursor to that 2nd screen which I do very often during flights, frame rate tanks on the main display and all smoothness is over.  Next, there is a subtle but very visible flicker as I pan left and right out the cockpit to the surrounding tarmac.  Too early to say as maybe there are solution but at this point this mod isn't ready for prime time quite yet.

With DLSS set it to DLAA 😉 better quality with all the other settings in combination with DLSS...

To add that's with FG native 40XX

So Nvidia's claim that only 40 series card are hardware equipped for FG to work was a scam, i'm not surprised, they are a shady company, I will never buy a Nvidia card again, I will probably upgrade to an 7900 XTX for MSFS 24.

BTW, are V-Sync necessary with a Free-Sync or G-Sync monitor with this mod?
