December 26, 20232 yr I get that they stopped after leaving the P3dv6 tab at their Central ð I was so much looking into a Global, Vector and other stuff port for v6 .... Developers are fooled by $$$ ! Hey guys, $$$ is nothing in this life !!! Ask Santa which sim He uses !!! December 26, 20232 yr    I heard the entire Orbx library for v6 will be released next week. ð I also still believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. Pete Locascio Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, Nvidia RTX 5090, Samsung 9100 Pro 2&4 TB Drives, 64 GB RAM, Asus Z-890 motherboard. Â
December 26, 20232 yr A short while back the ORBX CEO(how pretentious) stated that they plan to update their products for P3Dv6. The operative words there are "plan to", with no time frame at all. ORBX has in the past hyped something and strung customers along for a while only to end up canceling it, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to update anything. It's a bizarre market strategy, but there you go. ORBX seems to be 100% focused on making money with MSFS. Not really...I do know about the tricks allowing me, for instance, to install the PMDG 777 or my A2As into v6, but I'm not sure the Global products (including LC Europe and Vector) can be ported ? Can they ? December 28, 20232 yr I haven't used vector since v4 I thought that vector wasn't needed anymore. I'm still using their LC products with the reg edits. December 28, 20232 yr Commercial Member I would have thought they would stick with P3D, at least with compatibilities. Â It's harder with X-Plane due to auto ortho and the scenery gateway, and with MSFS, the market is thin compared to streaming scenery, but there's still a profit margin to take advantage of. Â If registry changes are all that's needed in P3D, then that's a plus.

Now wait until MSFS gets its scenery gateway - the market for scenery in MSFS will become much thinner yet.Â

Hell, I own everything they made as far as LC and Vector and Mesh and all that for P3D (no longer use them), and I even bought a ton of their scenery for MSFS. But I stopped buying scenery for MSFS. That sim undergoes so many changes all the time that some of those tend to break scenery and with Microsoft's World Updates, you never know when some of your scenery is gonna be rendered obsolete or incompatible. The city landmarks are CONSTANTLY victim to that and so are the airports because MS keeps adding their own to the sim and always changes things like city layouts, etc. I bought quite a few airports and city landmarks that were rendered unusable. For example... Dubai Landmarks. Cool, right? Well.... Microsoft released one of their "Landing Challenges" that involves a Red Bull STOL aircraft. That landing challenge (a concept I don't like to begin with because it drops you off in things like airliners about a minute before touchdown in some random config - your gear may be up, or down, your flaps can be in some partial deployment, or not... and your GPS/ND just don't work because the airport and the runway you are supposed to land on aren't even shown... so it becomes "figure out your config and make the best of it" - basically the situation NO pilot will find themselves in - an aircraft that someone else set up and you aren't aware of, about a minute or so before you land? I am all set on that.)... Well that Landing Challenge includes ONE building in Dubai - the one you are supposed to land on. If you have OrbX Dubai, that building is now doubled in the sim and you have to disable one or the other - either the landing challenge needs to not be in your active add-on list or the OrbX Dubai. Otherwise your aircraft falls through the landing pad on the building. It's stuff like this that got me so frustrated that I don't bother with scenery anymore. Edited December 28, 20232 yr by BostonJeremy77
December 28, 20232 yr No wonder so many simmers call MSFS an arcade game for the "pilots" that "fly" with a tight grip on their Xbox controllers. Pete Locascio Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, Nvidia RTX 5090, Samsung 9100 Pro 2&4 TB Drives, 64 GB RAM, Asus Z-890 motherboard. Â
