January 30, 20242 yr Not sure if there is a setting to help with it, but I've noticed that on planes with white liveries, the sunlit side will be too bright. It's like the highlights are blown and there is no detail in the whites. Here's a screen shot to show the effect.... https://imgur.com/zi87lqf
January 30, 20242 yr Been like that forever. They blow out highlights and the darks aren't dark enough for night flying etc. We need to have control over the blending sort of like we did in P3D. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
January 30, 20242 yr Easy fix for VR users, we have OpenXR Toolkit shade filter presets to tone the bright colors down. Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

I played around with nvidia CP settings and got night looking a little darker. It's hard to do though, if you over-do it you can make your day not light enough. January 30, 20242 yr Nvidia filters to suit what you like or want. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

January 31, 20242 yr With my AMD RX 6800XT graphics card, I can set custom monitor settings for any application, eg, MSFS. For example, brightness, contrast, gamma, color balance, etc can all be modified on a per application basis. It has been a while since I use Nvidia but surely there are similar capabilities in their latest drivers. I know it depends a lot on monitor used but would like other settings to experience more "choices" This is true and heavily dependent on monitor. I start with this guys 1st filter as it close to what I see real world from the cockpit. Start with it and then adjust vibrancy, Gama and brightness to your taste. Also as you find the look you like, make sure to move the time slider from morning to night so that your settings work and cover the full day range. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/

January 31, 20242 yr Always seemed odd to me that despite the multitude of bells whistles covering stuff I don't even understand there has never been any basic brightness/contrast/gamma control in the game🤷♂️
January 31, 20242 yr Hi, Yes, Nvidia may be the way... But there is a problem after 551.23 Nvidia controller update: the Exposure filter is not working well. It is constantly resetting to "default" values (but I don't think that are "real" default values). The Colour filter has another issue: it changes the entire MSFS in pink colour and I have to deactivate completely. Regards.
