MSFS Auto FPS App

Featured Replies

AutoFPS works just great in 2024. Only one thing.

I just had a short hop with Taog's Lama, and it went well. I got steady fps using LSFG and AutoFPS. But out of the blue, during descent, the fps was cut half. Then I switched from AutoLOD to FPS Sensitivity. And it went back normal. I am not sure how it affected the fps, I was just experimenting. Any thoughts?

The GPU is 99% and the clouds remain HIGH.

MSFS 2024 is known to overflow your VRAM at times like this with high graphics settings and that can cause such sudden FPS drops. Switching to FPS Sensitivity probably reduced your TLOD enough to recover your FPS.

Until Asobo addresses this issue of theirs, either do what you did or with AutoTLOD mode in particular have a lower TLOD Top and/or a higher Alt TLOD Top so that TLOD can start marching down earlier in the descent, thus avoiding VRAM overflow situations.

Roger. That's what I had thought. I am following a thread in the official Flight simulator forum, and many reported irrational high vram usage. Thank you.

Tried resetting / reinstalling.

I see that tte community folder has mobiflight-event-module inside.

ANY IDEAS?

As recently discussed, test 4 is now up for download here: https://github.com/ResetXPDR/MSFS_AutoFPS/releases/tag/v0.4.4.1-test. @ConairMSFS and @deepstar, let me know if you still experience any window sizing issues. Other than this, this is getting pretty close to a formal release state. Thanks for your input everyone!

Changes are:

  • Following the discovery of some ghost MSFS 2024 installations that occurred in the first week MSFS 2024 came out, the app has been modified to check for such ghost installations, to log them in they are found and, based on feedback on this issue to date, to default to choosing the MS Store version as the valid installation.
  • Revised UI behaviour to do a forced window redraw for when the app window is restored from a minimised state.

Fixed. No more window size issue. Thank you.

Awesome. It was fixed for me too, but I didn't want to get too excited. Thanks for getting back to me!

Sorry, I only just saw this. You will only see the session go green when you have loaded into a flight, after the Fly now button is pressed. Give it a shot!

A joke I hope? If they are again releasing an update just prior holidays they drive me nuts...

No joke. It's just a small one, but probably big enough to break my app again 😄(hopefully not). We'll soon find out!
