March 12, 20242 yr Hi Guys and gals, I'm on a 78003xd + 4090 + quest 3 +32gb. SUCCESS!! Had a perfect flight in VR at 36fps (capped via HMD) with Motion repro (oculus ASW). The "gradual" TLOD increase of test version is STUNNING!! Very slow increase to my maximum 225, and NO STUTTERS!! Granted the TLOD doesnt come down again till around 2000ft, but its a SLOOOOW burn down. The TLOD + is working flawlesslsy to, which is detecting my extra capacity. Stutter free, and so so very happy. You sir are a modern day saviour, and I personally want to chuck buckets of gold and tasty chciken wings at your blessed feet. 10 out of 10, 5 stars, bravo. much love, from A very chirpy Andy. 😉

DLSS swapper is great, but it won't replace FG-DLSS. https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-3-frame-generation-dll/ I think both have to be updated though in order for DLSS ultra quality to work. But this also involves changing some settings in Nvidia profile inspector. Edited March 12, 20242 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

March 12, 20242 yr Latest build initial impression: Promising! Almost at cruise FL398 in Fenix from FlyTampa's KBOS (w/ AI traffic). In expert mode though, as non-expert non-auto-target-fps* (we really do need an acronym for that!) gave me a TLOD ground of 200. Don't need that at a major hub. Expert mode = Steady FPS 80 from gate to FL398. A quick screenshot on departure showed a terrific TLOD 479 with FPS 76 at 7660ft. At cruise FL398 just now: TLOD 600 FPS 80 😁 *I hereby propose: NENATFPS! 1 hour ago, sonny147 said: i think you have a 4090 like me right ? Me? Yes I do. March 12, 20242 yr If I am using RTSS keeping fps locked at 50fps (which seems to work generally well) but I am using the frame generation mod so the msfs display of fps is often about half of that (25-30 fps). Which one does AutoFPS follow? What settings should I set it at in the app if this is the case please? Thanks AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
March 12, 20242 yr Well I just did my first flight (Fenix KBOS-KDCA w/FSLTL) with latest test build, expert mode. Pretty much FPS 80 from gate to gate. Took 8 screenshots of the app window, no FPS below 76 (I'm still RTSS locked to 80 with a FG-FPS target of 76 in the app). I'll have a look through the log file, but I don't expect to find any surprises there. I did notice though that TLOD changes were much more gradual, as per the release notes: Quote Changed target FPS tracking for all modes to be have much smaller TLOD changes the closer you are to your target FPS for a more consistent FPS experience. ... Quote Removed ability for the app to continually adjust TLOD on the ground in any mode as it causes either ground texture corruption issues in DX12 and ground texture flashing issues in DX11 and DX12. No ground texture artifacts at either airport. Quote Extended TLOD Min extra, which seems to be working very well in non-expert mode, to work in expert settings as an option. Click the + checkbox next to TLOD Min to activate it. I'd probably have to check the log file to verify this. Quote Added FG active/inactive to log file in extra logging mode if applicable Great! I'll dive into the log file imminently! 1 hour ago, sonny147 said: i just swapped out the DLSS and the DLSSG , and just copied what you have above, lets see how this goes EBBREGCC dep 10 mins, thanks CAPT Great, blue skies! March 12, 20242 yr Is butter smooth, on my side the cap is at 59fps in AutoFPS latest build (60fps limit in Nvidia Panel) but I am with the 3080 Ti FTW3 and not a 4090 😁 Valentin Rusu AMD Ryzen 9950X3D OC, Asus RTX 5090 OC, DDR5 64GB @6000MHz, Samsung 9100 NVMe for MSFS2024

I'll dive into the log file imminently! ...and I'm happy to reveal that everything checks out 🙂 Btw "FG active/inactive" is very useful as there's no more being confused about dramatic falls in fps. Extended TLOD Min extra: apparently I didn't have headroom for it (perhaps due to RTSS-locked at 80 with FG-FPS target of 76). Summary: Departure 0-FL390: FPS 72-81 TLOD 100-600 (latter above FL200) OLOD 200-20 (latter at 10,000ft) Arrival: FPS 70-81 TLOD 600-100 (latter below 1000ft) OLOD 20-200 (former above 10,000ft (Only very few entries had FPS at 72-73) 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
March 12, 20242 yr Author 7 hours ago, Cpt_Piett said: Quick question: How can I get TLOD min 100? You are getting TLOD 200 priority because your MSFS default TLOD setting is 400 and it is taking half of it as the starting TLOD Min in non-expert mode. If you want something lower for non-expert mode, change your MSFS TLOD setting either at the main menu or, if in a flight, with the app not running. BTW, and this applies to everyone using non-expert mode, the best MSFS default TLOD setting to use is one that gives you an average experience across all flight types you do, so in complex areas you get half of this TLOD value as your starting point and in simpler areas with enough performance headroom you will get this full TLOD default value on the ground. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
March 12, 20242 yr Author Thanks for all the feedback on the latest test release everyone. 👍👍 I just did a 2 hour GA group flight in Bolivia, using FPS priority (TLOD Min on ground/landing unchecked) the whole time. The new target FPS tracking formula did a much better job than previous versions in maintaining my target FPS and I didn't notice any scenery pops for the whole flight. As such, I am very pleased with how this tracking change is now working. Oh, and I saw someone imply that AutoFPS isn't working with the latest SU15 Beta. Has this been confirmed to be the case or is it still working just fine with the new SU15 Beta? 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
