I fully understand this,

But as always MSFS 2020 and it's complex addons are pretty resource intensive, an enjoyable experience can of course be had with lower spec hardware but you might have to make some adjustment too the settings to get this and not have too high an expectation that's all.

The Fenix team have done a great job optimizing the code and are still working to make further improvements.

Any news yet from Fenix re fixing the AP disconnect matter?

so far our investigation has found several code-side items leading to poor performance on some systems, which we be doing our best to address.

Thank you Aamir for all the hard work you and your team are doing. V2 is an exquisite aircraft that you should be proud of. I found that even V1 performed significantly better than the basic Asobo aircraft so that is really saying something about what you have achieved in terms of optimizing the aircraft. I am lucky I have now 8 flights in V2 and haven't had a single issue.

She is my favorite aircraft right now 🙂

Thanks for confirming, Sierra Hotel. I have a couple of questions:

- How did you set up displays in the Fenix app (alternate rendering/use CPU/display sync)?

- And are those 40 FPS with the FG mod on? I get several stutters at 40 FPS...

Just "Display Sync" ticked, Yes 40/60FPS with FG. I also use MSFS Map Enhancment, I turn the cache on and keep it off in MSFS (MSFS ME now also has a photogrammetry cache) make sure I clear the cache's before every flight. I don't think the stutters are related to FPS.

Well using a few addons I get very good performance from my £300 RTX3060

Just read on their discord page that the upcoming hotfix will address poor FPS performance issues.

These are good news. With @Cpt_Piett settings here (adapted for my 5600X, 3060 Ti and a 1080p monitor) and aiming for 60 FPS I could manage a bit of additional performance. But every FPS improvement in the plane is welcome 😁

Yes, Aamir posted yesterday that they've identified the issue and are working diligently on a fix.

Re: performance with lower-end rigs (actually even high-end rigs) everything is about balance. If one is main thread limited, try to take the load off the main thread (AI traffic, TLOD, etc). GPU-limited - lower resolution, use DLSS when possible, lower cloud settings. Users with RTX cards have an advantage due to the presence of Tensor cores which do a lot of heavy lifting, as well as having a lot of AI tech available (FG, DLDSR, DLSS).

Also, with the upcoming new Nvidia app, there are even more AI-fuelled options: RTX HDR, RTX super resolution, RTX dynamic vibrance

I'm using the beta, it's very good. And so-far it works flawlessly.

Installed it the other day. Luckily they've kept NCP for now. I've disabled auto-optimize though, as I've spent a little bit of time tweaking my settings for performance. But I can see that it'll be a decent starting point from people looking into performance-improvements.

Just a quick note on AI traffic impact. It can be significant (no surprise). FSLTL on hammers the mainthread (35ms). Off 24ms.

I don't use FSTL prefer AIG far better performance 🙂

Interesting, haven't used their injector in ages. I'll give it a go!

Does it still take ages to load?

I'm definitely experiencing reduced FPS following the B2 upgrade.
