PMDG 777 MSFS FIRST LOOK

I love PMDG aircraft, been buying them since my P3D days. I am not planning to buy the 777, because I no longer have any interest in long haul flights. Any flight over an hour and a half, I start feeling like I am watching paint dry. The 737, and the Fenix, work with A pilots LIfe, and I always select short haul flights on their scheduler. Works out great.

I'd agree about the long haul, 2-3 hrs is about my max. I'd still happily use a 777 for one of those though. That said at least PMDG does have a decent time acceleration feature....

When there's only a visual preview and some text to describe what this 777 will bring, it's no surprise it's being compared unfavourably (and possibly a little unfairly) to what they delivered previously and to what some other devs have achieved visually in MSFS.

I have to disagree here tbh. We know for a fact what features it will have, and that those are new. There are also comparisons elsewhere now that show the visuals are different and better than in P3D. Based on this I do find it surprising it's being compared unfavorably. This should really be enough to determine it's not a copy and paste. I, at least, find this to be very different from FSX <> P3D, and don't know what else I would expect them to do to make the plane more different. Just my 2 cents of course.

I do wonder what they have to do in order to make people actually say "that's new" and not "it's the same aircraft from [previous sim]".

It's that third engine we're all missing...

I agree, though I was attempting to explain the rationale behind a lot of the critical viewpoints raised elsewhere. Most of the negativity is based on how the 777 looks in the teaser/previews.

You can’t just accelerate the time?
