The sounds are pretty much perfect, but the textures are nowhere near the current standards.

Did you just flick through the video without watching it all. If you had watched you would of seen These are not textures and are placeholders.

  • The best bit of the entire video is hear here: https://youtu.be/B9L8hKmI9VU?feature=shared&t=260 If you don't enjoy a RB211 spooling up and going to buzzsaw, then you must be dead inside! 😄

  • I think there was something in the video that said "ignore the textures, they're being redone".

  • True, I just had to😁. It's written all over the video.

I think I'm looking forward to this more than the 777. It made a huge impression on me seeing it as a kid. Those engine sounds are fantastic.

Great work, can't wait for this one because i always was a huge 757 fan in the older Flightsim days.

It's about time to get one for MSFS and yes, it is much more important to me than PMDG's 777 !!

cheers 😉

Is Bluebird a well known developer?

They are under a new name "Bluebird" but they are developers from the past that joined together. Pretty good ones too.

Yes do you remember Posky.

Yes but they are going further than that. They are going to challenge Fenix, PMDG, and Leonardo Maddog.

Of course. He asked I referenced who they were previously. Confused by what you are saying

OK word is from a respectable streamer they have some developers from ESP Um "CS"  and the last one standing from that group is just making "models" and no systems in MSFS and make money on the Marketplace. Most left that group and are working on BB 757 and with more developers like Posky that did Freeware.

Nope, but as long as the community knows of their work that is good enough for me.

OK, if you are good with that but a "not so good" product don't cut it in 2024 Community these days no matter if its free or payware.

CS are actually good at making models (well the one guy that is left I think), it is just that they have lost their capability to do cockpits and systems (although the B717 isn't too bad apparently for an offering on the cheaper side) but basically the CS we knew from 10 years or so ago that did the excellent B707 and B737 is turned on it's head now.  In any case, it is obvious from what we have seen the the Bluebird team is talented as a collective, whoever is in it.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

What's the punch line to your joke?

If a video states (constantly, on the screen) "these are NOT the textures", then what is the point in commenting on the quality of the placeholder textures?

I hope your jokes at the bar are better than this..... 😄
