OK, if you are good with that but a "not so good" product don't cut it in 2024 Community these days no matter if its free or payware.

The product has to be good regardless. I had just never heard of them.

  • The best bit of the entire video is hear here: https://youtu.be/B9L8hKmI9VU?feature=shared&t=260 If you don't enjoy a RB211 spooling up and going to buzzsaw, then you must be dead inside! 😄

  • I think there was something in the video that said "ignore the textures, they're being redone".

  • True, I just had to😁. It's written all over the video.

What's the punch line to your joke?

If a video states (constantly, on the screen) "these are NOT the textures", then what is the point in commenting on the quality of the placeholder textures?

I hope your jokes at the bar are better than this..... 😄

Oh, my bar times are long gone now, sadly this is all I got these days. Sad, but true.😁

They are a NEW team of developers just like Fenix (was) that just begin in MSFS. However they are not new to programming FS products.

This leads me to think the Bluebird's green fields approach will allow them to produce not just a study level solution but potentially a professional solution if they continue down this path simply because they are presumably playing to MSFS strengths.....  and did I mention 500 circuit breakers?

I think it would be cool if we defined a set of standards to distinguish one development level from another.  I don't need, and as the narrator in the video opined many pilots never will use those circuit breakers, so I'm really not after that level of study level as it were.  But I need complete avionics and all other basics need to manage routine flight.  Something like this:

Entry Level Basic

Entry Level Deluxe

Study Level Basic

Study Level Premium

Study Level Professional

And define the criteria required.  One could also add some suffix labels to apply as well, that might cover things like full interior emulation, flight crew audio, pilot avatar etc

Study Level Premium FIE/FCA, etc

They've posted a short update on Facebook:

Not a whole lot of new info though. They're showing a preview of the EFB and they say they're still pushing for a release by the end of the year, but they're prioritizing quality and won't rush it, so it may slip into 2025.

Which, again, is 'Not a whole lot of new info'. It's the same commentary from Shervin from the very start of this year.

This and the JF Avro RJ are my two most excitedly awaited payware airliners. Even though they're taking far longer than originally anticipated, I'm sure they're worth the wait.

If we were able to bet on a 2024 release or another push into next year (like last year when they did it), I would be all in on another push to 2025. And I’d sleep well with that safe bet.

It is doubtful that they can make it by this year. The other thing is FS2024.  I have already publicly predicted that FS2024 is going to come with out of the box both an Asobo 757 and 767, of high quality. I am not backing away from said predictions.

It makes no sense to go for high quality as it reduces the market size for the BlueBird 757 and 767. In turn, that costs MS a swathe of their Marketplace fees on each of these products sold. Also, the more detail present in a default aircraft, the more it costs financially to bring it to that level.

As there will be the Asobo A330ceo, 737-8 and the original MSFS2020 airliners included as default airliners in MSFS2024, I'm not expecting two new and still unannounced airliners.

If there are to be an Asobo 757 and a 767, I reckon they'll be pitched at a level somewhere close to the Asobo 787-10 and the 747-8 for the reasons listed in the first paragraph.

ini Builds is making the A330s for 2024 not Asobo.

The A330s and 737 Max are all going to be in the base sim. Surely they're saving something in the higher tiers of the sim.

I don't think they'll be 767/757s, but I think they'll be a Boeing aircraft of some sort, since we haven't seen any new ones yet other than the Max

At the rate you're going, just go out and say Asobo is making all modern airliners.

That is not my prediction.

I am limiting to 757 and 767 based off my expectations. And if true, will be a massive shock to the community.

When was this announced?  Seems like Bluebird and FSL will "miss" FS2020 altogether but are fortunate that it sounds like things will seamlessly migrate to FS2024...

They literally missed this entire sim 😉

Have a Wonderful Day

So did Aerosoft A330.  They now need to compete with FS2024 / Inibuilds version 😄

As for FSL - it's good they are out of Flight sim.
