The 4 Things that will Disappoint in MSFS 2024

Recommended Posts

While we are complaining about something that is not even close to release yet is for me.

1. Better ground physics, Inertia

2. Better camera system, replay and Flyby view. The competitors are much better.

3. Competent weather radar.

4 Better airport RW lights lighting.

Not the same AI that drew a picture of George Washington that looked like Sulu from Star Trek?

They're not talking about image generation AI.

My only wish is for photogrammetry to be improved so I don't see so melted buildings.

That's an issue with the data, not the sim.

MSFS, please for the love of all, do NOT do windscreen wiper effects as shown in the race sim example provided - that is just horrible.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB

You might post this at the official MSFS forum if you want them to read this ….

SU15 has that covered and it isn't even a full implementation compared to what 2024 will have, based on what Seb has said

I think they will use something closer to what the Forza series used and that looks a bit more convincing. The best wiper effects I've seen was in a game called Drive Club for the PS4. It was one of the first games to use actual rain drops instead of elongated pixels and the physics of the water on the windshield looked spot on. I still hate Sony for shutting Evolution Studios down :(

Are you crazy?, thats like asking for an alcohol free Beer🤣

Off topic there are actually some pretty tasty ones available. Texas Select comes to mind. On a hot day when you thirst for a cold one but alcohol consumption isn’t conducive to the situation at the time.😎 The health benefits of the grain minus the buzz😂

@Mike S KPDX Sorry, but I don't understand. Were you able to watch the entire video. It isn't that long.  Why is it horrible?  Horrible compared to what? What would you suggest instead? Thanks.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

All very light impact issues.

@joemiller Yes, but annoying immersion killers. After 40 years of developing flight simming experience, you'd think that a whole new generation of programmers and methodologies would have made MORE progress to these 'light impact issues' (or new features). MSFS was a HUGE leap forward towards as 'real-as-it-gets' but expecting solutions to these 'light impact issues' seem reasonable.

This --> Driveclub - PS4 Race Japan Lake Shoji 1 / Ferrari FF / Dynamic Weather - YouTube?  Amazing that it's from 9 years ago. I just wish the video had a view of the windshield from the inside of the car. I'm not sure if the raindrops are animated when they hit the car though. It's not that clear if the car is getting wet as a result of the rain.

My major grip with MSFS 2024 is that it's not here already 🙂

Here's a better look at it from inside the car

One of my kids had that.

Driving out of a tunnel into the rain; truly amazing!😲
