Wow. Just wow. The attention to detail is insane. This is some of the best I’ve seen so far - perhaps THE best!

I am so glad this developer is also doing FRA... truly amazing

Haha 😂  My first impression video:

  • Early Access... for airports is a thing now?!   Well it was always going to be Aerosoft that came up with that idea. 😄   I'm not knocking Jo Erland's work though ..... he's made some s

Amazing! Does this release tomorrow?

Jo Erlend say so... 😉

Is it really worth that level of detail inside an airport?

I'm very much also in the camp of "if I can't see it from the cockpit at the gate, it doesn't need to be modeled".

At the same time, I recognize that simming means different things to different people. Some people enjoy the experience of leaving the plane through the terminal, and judging by the number of recent sceneries with detailed interiors, this doesn't appear to be just a small minority. If it can be done without negatively impacting performance (and in the hands of a capable developer like Jo, I think it can), then why not?

With this simulator I get the feeling that we are focusing on "eye candy" and losing sight of many other things that have always been important in the world of simulation.

Can you clarify what you think is missing from ENGM / what the developer has lost sight of? The airside detail looks exquisite to me -- all that I could hope for in a rendition of ENGM.

Very much looking forward to this as I fly to Oslo regularly in real life.

Immersion is everything in a simulated world, so the more detail the better as far as I am concerned.

Maybe I should have written in a separate thread, at this airport nothing is wrong, it looks perfect. This was just a thought out loud about the overall situation of MFS addon development.

I have the ORBX one, just received a big update..., saw Filbertflies doing a comparison on Youtube.

I am a big fan of Jo Erlend and have his Brussels scenery which is great. Also really like the Aerosoft VDGS ( glass quality )

I am in doubt, flying a lot from Oslo , but if it can justify? probably I will bite the bullet, specially because it is from Jo.

I'm sorry but in my opinion you can't compare Jo's work with ORBX.

When Orbx name their lead developer (Finn Hansen in this instance), you can.

I still think Jo's rendition looks that bit nicer, but this is the first time ever I've felt saddened that there have been two versions of the same airport. Both are high-quality sceneries.

Sometimes you say "I won't buy this scenery because I never fly from/to this place."

And then, there are some sceneries that you will buy because this is a masterpiece, a must buy and then you will start to fly from/to this place because of that.

Jo Erlend's sceneries are those kind of sceneries...

I purchased the ORBx version from the MS Marketplace, so I will probably get the update around Christmas

I think it adds to the immersion. As simmers we spend quite a bit of time in virtual airports, so I would say “why not”? Also focusing on one thing doesn’t have to mean other things stop being important.

Just a quick one.  I have the recent release from ORBX.  When I say recent, it was last year.

The ORBX rendition is really nice.  Just wanted to see if anyone else on here owns the ORBX version and if so, are you planning to replace it?

No, I won't be. This newer airport is great, don't get me wrong, so I feel like it would be redundant. The ORBX version is also amazing, highly detailed, great performance and still with a ton of features.

TLDR: Nah. The orbx one is amazing.

And it was recently updated today from the ORBX site.
