August 25, 20241 yr Has anybody noticed that, in 4K, there aren't as many artifacts when using FG as for 1080p? Or at least this is what I saw when I applied 1.78x DLDSR (the equivalent of upgrading my 1080p monitor to a 1440 one) and applying 3X FG on that. August 26, 20241 yr You're proving my point, Ian. I see some image warping when panning too quickly (specially in spot view), or when opening/closing a 2D panel. The higher the FG factor, the bigger the chance of artifacts. I can put up with those because the benefits are so enormous. From careful settings to maintain 30fps at Heathrow et al with 160 AIG Ai and either Concorde or the PMDG 777 I can now achieve double that with 100% Ai. And all for something that cost 1/250th of my graphics card. 😁 Airport vehicles and road traffic now look realistic with no jerkiness. 30 was fine for a forward view when landing but panning around the cockpit was jerky. Even the ever-hungry Concorde now operates as smoothly as the real aircraft did. You have to give credit to the author. He could have charged ten times more and it would still be a bargain given the performance boost. Artefacts? I just ignore them. Ray (Cheshire, England). August 26, 20241 yr "Artefacts? I just ignore them." As I don't pan around very much, if at all, I don't see artifacts. Road traffic and airport vehicles are very much smoother. With my elderly system, even I can get 60 at Heathrow with much lower settings, obviously. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. August 26, 20241 yr The minimal artifacts I notice are not worth complaining about when I can finally use CYYZ, KLAX, etc...full out...Frankly simming has never been more enjoyable for me (I use v5.4). system i9 10850K NVidia RTX3090 24GB Samsung SSD980 m.2 1TB (x2) Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD Seagate 2TB external drive Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB SSD Asus B460M-PLUS Mobo 32GB GSkill DDR4 3000mhz Ram using P3D v5.3

August 27, 20241 yr Yes, of course I tried pretty much everything I found on this thread, but nothing works, I only get 20/60 on the display. Cordialement, Jean-Marc. ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F, i9 13900K, 64 Go DDR5 Ram 4800 Mhz, RTX5070ti, 3 SSD M2 1TO, 2 Benq W1080ST

August 27, 20241 yr Oops, so sorry, I thought it was supposed to display 60/60 so it must work to be honest I didn't steal I thought it wasn't correct. I'll try again, thanks Cordialement, Jean-Marc. ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F, i9 13900K, 64 Go DDR5 Ram 4800 Mhz, RTX5070ti, 3 SSD M2 1TO, 2 Benq W1080ST
August 27, 20241 yr Moderator @vjeanmarc, 20 / 60 is correct. 20 is the sim running at the base setting and 60 is x3 multiplier. Easiest way to check for smoothness is pan around the cockpit. If you’re using the default CTRL+Shift+D to toggle the FG on / off the difference will be very noticeable. Ray (Cheshire, England).
