That seems to be more an issue of your own, for myself (I have three monitors) I just move the mouse cursor over to the target montor and use the app I want, no big deal.

That is very odd! My mouse was totally disabled from even moving to the second screen. I had to press the Windows key to get back to the "original" screen. Only then could the mouse move.

Could you share a screen with your Lossless settings please?

Here you are. I don't profess to be an expert in this area. Changing Scaling Type appears to have no effect on artefacts. I don't see the point of selecting VSync in Sync Mode when it's selected in P3D.

Ray, big thx!!!

Will give it a try for sure if I end up deciding to use lossless 👍

Can I just ask, what is the "shortcut" you use to enable Lossless without having to bring up the options screen?

The Settings screen shows a default key combo of CTRL+Shift+S from memory. It’s that which will initiate the action.

That conflicted with one I already use so I checked through the Commands listing to find a free one.

Right. Now that I understand what the figures are telling me, I can confidently say that I have it working at 60fps.

Just one question remains: How can I get my mouse to move to the second screen? As soon as I engage lossless, the mouse is locked to the main screen.

I can of course momentarily disengage it but that is not very elegant.

Is Behavior | multi-display mode set to on for the configured P3D profile?

Also there is a new release of Lossless Scaling, looks like it was mostly a bug fix release.

2.10.2 released

  • Reduction of LSFG artifacts on patterned textures and in dark scenes, especially noticeable when HDR is enabled.
  • LS1 sharpening correction, now the value 0 should match the original. Improved colors with HDR.
  • Added Portuguese and Serbian translations

Cheers

Thanks, I have the latest.

Multi mode was on but I activated Windowed mode and that seems to be the answer.

All good so far. Just the occasional shimmering of the sky and the messages (are these the artifacts that people mention?).

New version available, now with 4xFG. Obviously I gave it a try: I was keeping 2x, but my sim was set up for 30 FPS. Now, with 4x, sweet 120 "FPS" 😍

Tried first with the A2A P-40, then with the FSL A321 SL. I found the biggest artifacts by alt-tabbing in and out of the sim.

This is indeed impressive. The only issue I’m have is a lot of flickering of distant objects (when making turns taxing) and heavy flickering of the ground night textures when flying at night (at crz level). Are the any settings that reduce the flickering ?

thanks

What X<value> are you running at ?

The less X<value> means the less frames that have to be guess-estimated meaning less errors in frame generation.

Just to clarify - can I use this with my gtx 1080 card?

I have a second monitor too that I use for charts as discussed earlier - I am still a bit unsure if this is will be a problem?

For the potential large gains it's worth trying. The latest version has an option for multiple monitors.

This little utility is a complete game changer and as Ray says, its worth the shot. Especially for the low price. I do not use p3d without it.
