July 16, 20241 yr V6 here. Just flew KONT - KLAS. Everything worked? No issues whatsoever. All the proper callouts & warnings. It picked up ILS, VNAV, whatever I tried...worked.
July 17, 20241 yr I can't get the thing to pushback from the gate. I've tried using standard Simconnect Toggle Pushback and FSUIPC offset 31F4 but to no avail. All ground equipment disconnected and parking brake released. I get a banner on screen reading "This aircraft cannot be moved by the tug". The P3Dv4 EFB functionality is a watered down version of that described in the Quick Start Guide which is clearly only for the MSFS version. TFDi replied "We are aware of some differences between the EFB shown in MSFS and the one in P3D, this is due to limitations with the older system. We are looking at the possibility of bringing some more of the EFB functionality to the P3D build in the near future." I won't hold my breath.
July 18, 20241 yr Well... I just bit the bullet and a after just a minute or two of panning around setting up my Chaseplane views I've already run out of VRAM. Doesn't bode well! Edit: Knocking my texture resolution down seems to have made things more stable; definitely not ideal for an 8gb card though, I think LatinVFR Miami is out of the question! They have promised to rectify the high drama usage. I notified them of the memory leakage. Also, the was an update released today, mostly of bug fixes. I don't know if any of it helps the vram usage.

It would be nice if they could knock it down a bit more - I'm used to high VRAM usage with the FSL Concorde, but even that gives me a healthy level of margin usually with my settings as they currently are. I've managed to get myself up and running on a KSDF-KDFW flight in one piece, no major complaints, though it's a shame there's no implementation of route-loading for P3D; I know I'm going to dread manually loading my route on a long-haul lol PUT In the UK. July 18, 20241 yr Further to my last - flight conked out on approach into DFW due to VRAM exhaustion. Really needs fixing otherwise this will be unflyable for me. PUT In the UK. AMD Ryzen 5 5600x & Radeon RX6700XT. Prepar3Dv5 @1080p
July 18, 20241 yr I am getting an average of 6.3/11 gb vram in my meager p3dv5.4 flight sim pc. However, this is just sitting n the tarmac at ImagineSim KATL without any traffic. It is quite smooth, though. I can't seem to get mouse look to work in the pedestal & overhead panels. Can someone help me with this. I do have mouse look enabled in FSUIPC. It works in the main captaiin & FO panels, but not the others. I really need it for the overhead as I can't read all of the print at present. Some of course is my poor eyesight, but I should be able to zoom in and look around the entire panel, not just the center. edited to add: afer opening all of the doors to set up a GSX profile, vram usage climbed to 7.0~7.1. Definitely leaking, based on doing simple functions in the efb. If you are still having problems go to their discord / "ask-staff" and see their reply. You need to edit the Aircraft.CFG of each model... After inserting a route manually I still get a messy route without any sense. Has anyone without a Navigraph subscription able to get a decent route inserted? In every other complex addon even with the outdated AIRAC is possible to insert and follow a route but not with this one. I have came to the conclusion that the current NAVDATA in this bird isn't just outdated, it is useless.

When you operated the door or was doing the set up of the gsx profile, did you go to external view at all after clicking the icons in the EFB? It's this switch of views that typically causes the jump in VRAM. If you revert to the VC, after some time, the VRAM reduces again. Imaginesim's KATL is quite a complex airport so this will consume some VRAM as well. Your 6.3Gb seems about the same as I am seeing at a medium complex airport with weather loaded. I have been able to fly at 6.1Gb VRAM consumed and not have the sim crash. I have no idea what it would be like at a busy Heathrow! After updating the Navigraph FMS Data Manager and downloading the latest AIRAC (2407) , I did get a good route without messed up SIDS and STAR. I only tried one flight so far though with the latest software updates. The outdated AIRAC that the MD-11 ships with is completely useless. If you dont get an up to date AIRAC cycle, you can forget flying SIDs and STARS (without the need to resort to a lot of manual waypoint entry). The vram level remained unchanged when I returned to the cockpit. 2. My normal vram level is around 4.6 gb at the gate at IS KATL. It does not change or is extremely minimal (as in mb) when changing views, opening/closing doors and using GSX services. The highest I've ever encountered prior to my experience with the MD11 was around 6.5 gb at a couple of payware airports that I can't precisely recall at this time. I can live with the higher vram usage in the md11 at present. Hopefully, they will find a way to reduce the usage level(s). I'm liking what I am seeing thus far in this bird. Hopefully they will make further improvements and implement more functions in the efb to at least match what PMDG providers. Fingers crossed. If TFDi can provide all of the functions to match their 717 systems, or similar (as in fully functional efb), I think their sales to the P3D community would definitely increase a lot! Just saying.
