Anyone else click "Update" for SimObjects and Models in AI Manager but after what appears to be "progress" and completion the Update button is still red?

This never happens with Flightplan updates, only Models/SimObjects.

Yes it is exactly what it happens to me. Something has to be wrong in the OCI folder...

  • the latest AIG Model update was just a few days ago - a complete overhaul of all models, including some more performance impreovements 😉 The overall suggestions to disable any default AI Traffic remai

  • Not really a valid comparison...  It would have to be what's the benefit of buying a Toyota Prius over getting a BMW 540 for free... 😉

  • not possible because of copyright it is set to load as fast as possible - using as much CPU as it can get. If you change regular Scenery files this can slow down the process since TC reads diff

@Kaiii3 What's the reason the TC quits every time the MSFS closes?

it is coded that way

@rylabics@MNORM please report with logs in the AIG Forum so we can investigate

I expected this answer! And capital letters are still there because it was coded in that way 20 years ago. That guy died and now nobody knows why he did it 🙂

Can you please provide a link?  I logged into the AIG forums (the one I'm aware of) and it was "dead".

@Kaiii3  I am a bit confused when reading this thread because several users indicate they launch the AITC at the same time with MSFS, I thought that in order to have AI in sync with your location and the time of your flight, one needed to launch AITC ONLY after launching the flight in the MSFS planning window after we choose the airport of departure as well as the time of the flight, this is what I have been doing and it barely exceeds the time needed by MSFS to load my flight and get me in my cockpit (relatively fast) anyway (much less than 4 to 6 minutes as indicated by some),

Can you please confirm whether or not this is correct, because obviously it would be easier to launch AITC with MSFS through Addon-Linker. Thanks for a great, great, AI addon, the best I ever had in any sim, splendid work!

you can start TC when you want, as said earlier: I start might a few seconds after I started MSFS. AIGTC will "spam" SimConnect calls as soon as it is started so it will catch the startup of MSFS automatically.

Maybe some are confused because it contains the option to instantly inject traffic the moment it is up and running. I have this option off...

thats up to the user, auto injection starts as soon as the user hits the "fly" button after the flight is fully loaded. This reduces the number of stutters because the Scenery is already loaded

What's the benefits of using AIG to using FSTL?

Quite a few more models and airlines with around 8x more liveries. Also most liveries in FSLTL are performance eating 4k textures, AIG does have some 4k textures on certain models but most are not which saves VRAM and overall performance.

IMO as well, the AIG liveries are just better quality.

There's also an option in the ai manager to reduce those to 2k.

I still get the freeze of the application when downloading flight plans and models in the manager. Gets stuck at a certain percentage and never continues. Any ideas?

I have a random question.  Does everyone else only see the landing gear on AI from a ridiculously short distance?   Like not even the entire length of the runway  as they land?   I can usually see all the gear for a few hundred feet before they disappear again,

Is that just me or is there a setting I can modify.  I already run TLOD 300 and OLOD 200 LOL

Same. I would guess it's an MSFS issue or I think AIG would have resolved it long ago.
