August 15, 20241 yr So SU16 has been shelved for a while, WU 18 (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) looks exciting and scheduled for September and WU 19 is Brazil (a lot of us have been looking forward to that one) scheduled for December. Lots to get your teeth into and talk about here, I think. https://fselite.net/content/msfs-world-update-18-and-19-locations-confirmed/ Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
August 15, 20241 yr Brazil in December is good news!, even after the release of MSFS 2024, which I hope means the support and development of MSFS 2020 will not stop, although maybe not on the same frequent basis. August 15, 20241 yr I assume that WU18 and WU19 are also going to find their way into MSFS2024? Sorry I may have missed this...
August 16, 20241 yr Frankly we should be getting flooded by FS2024 info by now. Only 3 months to go. Keen to see everything, including the sweet little Route Planner and Charts! http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
August 16, 20241 yr I believe in these updates that are coming most of the work creating them will be valuable for the MSFS 2024 development too, but it is great to see support continuing, even when we are nearing the release of their next version, and quite the opposite of what many preconized as being the fate of MSFS ! In the recent Twitch, they implied 2020 and 2024 will share the same world / scenery data wherever possible, and that would make sense if the data structure is similar. In fact, Jorg said something along the lines of this 2020 WU has a little bit of 2024 in it, whatever that means. They have also said in a previous stream that some of the 2024 sim improvements will be back ported to 2020 wherever possible, but it may not be possible for everything due to the slightly different sim architecture.
