Little details like scratches, reflections and rain drops come to life! Stuff like that I would barely notice on my 4K OLED display. Whatever "CL" is. My selection criteria for a VR headset were: Stand-alone, so I can do the things that VR is actually made for (running around a room looking like a fool). No requirement for base stations for motion tracking. Good Linux compatibility. Not too expensive. Comfortable to wear. And the Pico just ticked all that. Couldn't beat the (used) price either. If I want, I can even hook it up and stream via USB instead of WiFi. With that setup, I can, in theory, sit myself down anywhere, stream a flight simulator via WiFi or USB and use hand tracking to flick switches and a broom handle as a control stick. But as usual, it's the inadequateness of the software side of it that ruins it all. It also doesn't help that Laminar brushed me off with "We do not support OpenXR on Linux" when I was troubleshooting controller issues with them. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

USB 3.0 is 4.8 Gbit/s (600MBps) - those MBps matter, 2x 1080p images at 60fps is 2x 2MB x 60 = 240MBps, 802.11n can only do 56MBps, Wifi6 is basically 1GBps. AutoATC Developer

I still can't grease my landing in the 172 like I used to in the sim, the nose gear still wants to slam to the ground when the back wheels touch the runway. The friction feature Austin added to GA landing gear is unrealistic. The sim's 172 was always way too easy to grease a landing. The only time I've ever been able to match that IRL was in a cool, utterly windless morning.

Most of my landings were fairly smooth. On a rare occasion, I would have a crappy landing. My worst landing was probably on my checkride, go figure! This is similar to what was suggested in some DCS VR thread I found, by the way (map left and right mouse click to HOTAS controls, then look at control in VR and click).
