iniBuilds A350 to be MSFS2024 only

Featured Replies

No problem with this.  MSFS 24 is only a month and a half away. I'm enjoying immensely their 300.

  • i think the serious simmer who's looking for the A350 is going to 2024 anyway , and that's probably 99% of us on here i would imagine

  • No. As the image I posted says, they'll release more info over the coming weeks, I imagine that will include an explanation why. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's because they don't want t

they know something we don't.

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

TBH this was going to happen sooner or later, I wouldn't be surprised if PMDG made a statement tomorrow saying they won't be supporting/developing for 2020 version anymore.

I'm guessing the differences between the two versions are quite significant, if this is true then I don't think any of the other developers will be making their addons compatible to 2024 version free of charge. It might be sort of upgrade service where you have to pay a small fee. How small - well that depends on the amount work developers have to put in to make it compatible.

But now I am very cautious with any of future 2020 addon's purchase.

Compatible is the wrong word to use, most 2020 aircraft will be compatible out of the box. The upgrades are to add 2024 specific features.

I don’t know why anyone is upset by this. 2024 has been billed as an upgrade to 2020 since it was announced - it’s intended that the vast majority of people will be on the new sim.

2024 is a service pack, you just have to pay

It's a lot more than that.

I don't recall the service packs for FSX making as big changes as 2024 is making.

That's the best strategy IMO. They would have to keep two versions or release one version not on par to the new MSFS 2024 capabilities.

It was like this always on every NEW Sim and would not change, thats just politics and every business is about making money and it's completely clear to me that the new sim is a new beginning in a certain way and that's how it will be with the scenery and the planes - that's how I see it !!

cheers 😉
