Unable to use PMDG B738

Featured Replies

Yesterday, when I tried to flight the PMDG 738, I found this error. I cannot touch anything neither the controls. Does anyone know what happened and how to fix it?spacer.png

Common fault with PMDG at the moment, if you hit escape & restart flight it *might* work.

File a ticket with PMDG as well either way...

I believe this is a PMDG issue and related to their DRM. There are numerous posts about this phenomena on their forums. If you exit out and the reload the aircraft it should work

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

Did you try selecting RESTART? This happens very infrequently to me now after the "fix" was released, but if RESTART does not work, you will probably have to go back to the main menu and reload the same scenario.

I have reload and reinstall the aricraft several times but it doesn't work

Have you updated to the latest version using the PMDG ops center?

I have not experienced this issue since I updated.

FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C
BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb

9800X3D B650E • ROG OC RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5-6000 • VKB Gladiator, STECS, T-Rudder • Tobii 5 • ISP 1 Gbps

It has happened to me once or twice since I installed the update, so it is not totally resolved.

A fresh boot of the sim won't solve it. SU15 causes the sim to load faster, sometimes beating PMDG's DRM. So, a fresh load yields the same result.

Instead, hitting ESC and then Restart usually solves it. Since the sim has loaded at that point, the DRM checks can occur.

Sorry I didn't understand what you said. Do you mean restarting the flight without leaving the simulator?

Yes.

Once the plane has loaded -- and is in the state you showed. Do this:

1- Press ESC. That will bring up some choices on the bottom of the screen.

2- Press restart flight. That reloads you into your current position.

That usually fixes it.

I tried it too but it didn't fix it

I'd open a ticket with their support then.

Spoke too soon, mine is not working this evening at all.

PMDG did release a small updat some weeks ago to address this issue. Sadly, it seems to only have worked for a few. I am one of the lucky ones, as it has cured the issue 90% of the time, but occasionally I have to restart the flight as has been described above.
