September 24, 20241 yr I just saw that video from Philipp. The new weather-radar-capabilities are simply mindblowing. I had not expected that level of accuracy. Even turbulences and windshear-warnings will be included! Simply amazing in my opinion. I have been waiting for that since years in any sim. I cannot wait to see it in action in the next XP-version coming hopefully soon. i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM

September 25, 20241 yr Watched the vid. Way the most advanced and apparently well modelled default weather radar among the civil platforms presently available and most probably counting FS 2024 too !!! This is GREAT ! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 28, 20241 yr This is absolutely brilliant. The only question becomes what it will take for the 3rd party aircraft to incorporate those into the birds we own. That's the real question. Cause default is well... default. I don't fly those often. Though it's great that the capability is finally there.
September 28, 20241 yr Best news update for a long time! How about put this Dev in charge of upgrading the cloud environment now. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

The new weather system is a big improvement over XP11 but they need to optimise it. Not only do I hope that they will keep improving the shape of clouds but fthe most annoying thing imo. is that every 15 minutes clouds are being built up or disappearing right in front of the aircraft within seconds, the same with the weather-returns, making the whole radar-thing almost useless when trying to avoid some areas. I have reported that already a few times and hope they can fix it. And also the weather-returns showing patterns of repetitive squader-shaped areas not connected to each others when they very obviously should is something that will hopefully improve. i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM

I’m looking forward to it. I do also not fly default often and then almost only the SR22. i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM
September 28, 20241 yr It is likely that the new detailed weather radar will also push LR to keep improving the weather/cloud system, since any issue affecting weather or clouds is amplified with such a realistic weather radar. A win-win, hopefully! "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
