Is anyone subscribed to this channel? I may be late to the game here and you all may already know all about it, but they’re putting out best aviation content out there, I can’t stop watching it.

Yep!  Discovered this three or four months ago by chance.

It’s outstanding.

Wild.  I checked out the channel and figured I'd watch a few minutes of the featured video to see what the channel was like, and ended up watching the entire 50 minute video.  I'll be watching more of this channel.  Thanks for the heads-up.

I normally don't have anything to do with jet airliners, preferring the A2A propliners and a DC-3 for my long haul flights in the sim, but this was truly fascinating.

Watched a new one last night, ferrying an A320 from China to Brunswick Maine, via Guam, and Phoenix, following a 777 ferry from USA to Dubai. These guys are terrific, but I still couldn't help feeling slightly uneasy watching them doing a 24 hour trip, 2 crew, no rest, no matter how professional you are, everyone needs sleep?  Plus the A320 was going to Brunswick to be scrapped, no urgency as such, other than one of the pilots was due to fly a 787 to South America shortly after arrival at Brunswick. They looked bushed towards the end.

When I was 35 years old (about 40 years ago), I made a solo car trip from Washington DC to Dallas, driving straight through, only stopping for fuel.  It was 30 hours total.  I'd made this trip a few times before, but always had to stop for a 6 hour nap in the middle, and was totally exhausted at the end.  This time I wasn't even tired.

Two major differences between this trip and previous ones.  Before, I was driving a 1976 VW Scirocco and this time a  1979 Mercedes 300D with cruise control.  Before, I was exceeding the speed limit a bit, this time I kept the speed a bit under the limit.  While that Mercedes was a dream to drive, I think the major factor was the lack of stress keeping within the speed limit.

Twenty four hours with a co-pilot?  Piece of cake! 😄

Now, I don't recommend staying awake 30 hours and trying to do anything important.  I was once working on a Unix system at 30 hours without sleep, and I accidentally created a file named "*.c",  How do you delete a file called "*.c"?  Hint: you do NOT type "rm *.c".  After restoring the entire source code library on the client computer from backup, I told my boss I was going home to sleep a bit and would be back later.

I typed "RECOVER" at a DOS prompt once.  ONLY once.  From then on I deleted RECOVER.EXE from all DOS installations.
