2020 has been a fun game

Accurate review there. Word perfect.

Been a blast sight seeing areas I'll never get to see irl from above, but I do my 'simming' elsewhere.

In the daytime it still blows me away, nighttime I avoid at all costs.

  • Most of XP’s default airports were “crowd sourced” - i.e. created/modified by end-users who use the WED scenery editor in conjunction with the Scenery Gateway, which has been in operation for many yea

Did you sign an NDA ? Or are they ok with putting screenshots here ?

Unfortunately, more unacceptable known issues from MSFS 2020 include unfixed taxi and runway edge lights inside taxiways or runways.
At least they are persistent and stubborn in not fixing the obvious.

I get the idea their solution to those issues is the world airport portal that's going to go live at launch. Its gonna be like X-Plane where users fix and submit airports to be placed in the sim.

That's really the only viable way to do it. Whatever ambitions they had with 2020 to hand-correct all airports was never realistic. There are too many of them for one development team.

I don't buy it.

We can't compare this with X-Plane. The X-Plane developer listened to the customer, and yes, they fixed the issues.

Regarding ASOBO, despite all the complaints about specific items that have been so obvious during all these years, not that stubbornly didn't fix them; they "brought them to the new platform." Unfortunately, people are vehiculating these childish statements:" There are too many of them for one development team." Let's snap out of this  : " can't see the forest for the trees. "

I loved the world airport portal in XP because it was so much better than anything developers could do. I'm happy MSFS is going that direction.

I don't really appreciate the claim that I'm being "childish" by suggesting a developer team can't possibly fix the taxi light locations at 40,000 different airports. But whatever. I think my comment is perfectly mature and realistic.
