Problem with PMDG 737 - 800 update to 3.0.106

Featured Replies

My PMDG 737-800 was working fine with version 3.0.105. I had not experienced any of the problems that I have read in threads on this forum. Today, I updated my PMDG 737-700 and 737-800 to version 3.0.106, and when I spawned the 737-800 on a runway - the cockpit was fuzzy throughout and the plane not flyable.

So, I decided to uninstall three of my PMDG products - the 777, 737-700 and the 737-800 - and then reinstall them. - thought a clean install might get rid of any 'bugs'

One by one I spawned them on runways and updated the airac through the EFB. The 777 and the 737- 700 opened fine with clear cockpits - but the 737-800 still had a fuzzy cockpit and is not flyable.

So 3.0.105 worked fine for my 737-800 whereas with 3.0.106 it is fuzzy and unflyable.

Any thoughts or suggestions.

This is the process I use to remove all PMDG products and start from scratch.

1. Uninstall all PMDG products from 'Add/Remove Programs' Windows control panel
    e.g., 'PMDG 737-800 for MSFS'

2. In the following folder delete all folders beginning with 'pmdg-'
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages
    e.g., 'pmdg-aircraft-738'

3. In the following folder delete all folders beginning with 'PMDG'
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes
    e.g., 'PMDG 737-800'

4. Delete these folders
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\PMDG
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\PMDG

5. In the following folder delete all folders beginning with 'pmdg-' (your MSFS path will be different)
    D:\MSFS\Packages\Community
    e.g., 'pmdg-aircraft-738' & 'pmdg-aircraft-738-liveries'

Just started a 737-800 flight after update, everything looks fine.

I had this issue the other day and i fixed it by unticking and ticking again the PMDG boxes in the GSX config, not sure if you have GSX but this fixed it for me.

I'm currently flying down to Lisbon in the 738, following the update, and so far have experienced no ills. Beautiful weather BTW!

And it has been addressed above that the resolution was checking/unchecking the PMDG setting in GSX hence why some can be unaffected especially if they never used seated passengers in GSX.

Do you use GSX with the seated passengers option enabled?

You couldn't pay me enough money to put GSX on my system. Learned that lesson in P3D.

Your loss. It's perfect if you either take the time to set it up yourself, or download custom profile for your airports of choice.

Then remember to switch off the GSX-Jetways for your add-on scenery, use a keyboard shortcut to open the menu in the sim instead of clicking on the icon and you are all set.

Never had any problems with it in MSFS.

Happens to me a lot with the 737.

Usually of I just go back and reload the plane it is fine.

I like to fly and am interested in aircraft. I have zero interest in watching fuel trucks, catering trucks, etc..etc...

Then don't use them and use the pushback only.

Exactly what I have been doing for years. Why do you say " It is your loss"?????"🤔

Because GSX is first and foremost a pushback program that can be customized in a way that it matches exact real world pushback options.

And you said you don't use it at all.
