November 2, 20241 yr This is good news, to finally have RAAS back in the simulator, I miss it on the triple 7. That said, at this point, 2 weeks before 2024, I am going to hold off for a 2024 version. It is just too close now for someone like me who will move fully to 2024 when it releases. I don't want to buy something and then end up waiting 5, 6, 7 months for it to be available in 2024, free or not. MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.
November 2, 20241 yr Contrary to the common sense observations made above, I just purchased a copy and got it installed. It's a bit fussy with regard to copy protection, and I had to do a system restart in order to get everything working, but it seems to work fine. Nice job, seemingly at a fair price. I'm not likely to purchase MSFS24 right away, so I'm OK waiting for an upgrade. I've lived four years without an RAAS system and I can wait a while longer if I decide to go all in on 2024 sooner rather than later. There's not much at stake and I want to help keep clever developers engaged in bringing new, interesting products to the platform. November 2, 20241 yr Bought it too, works fully automatic and works perfectly. If only every (non-scenery/-aircraft) addon would be this automatic, I'd be a happy man. This is how these addons should work in 2024 For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
November 2, 20241 yr I'll probably buy this. I'm planning on buying msfs 2024 but not moving until certain addons are working.
November 2, 20241 yr Looking to get this later today. What's another $15 at this point? Wait for 2024? Nah. I've decided I'll be waiting till the dust settles and my favorite aircraft are compatible before I do the 2024 thing. OT: reading between the lines of PMDG's update information yesterday, I think it will be quite a long while before Fenix and PMDG have their aircraft ported. What finally clicked for me was the statement from Asobo "aircraft should work in 2024" means they won't cause a CTD. Beyond that low bar, who knows? November 3, 20241 yr I love, that they properly display the messages on the ND. Does any one know how they do it? Is this some hack, that may cause other problems down the line?

November 3, 20241 yr 13 hours ago, Twenty6 said: An established alternative which is on sale now (2Nov2024): I bought FS2Crew RAAS on sale about 2 days before Land3 dropped this new vRAAS product - If only I had known I would have bought it instead. FS2Crew RAAS is okay, I guess, but the added feature of the announcement displays on the MFD are really slick...will probably buy it. After all as RichieFly says, "what's another $15 at this point. GRR!! One of the things I don't like about the FS2Crew RAAS is that they have files installed in several places which makes it difficult-to-impossible to use with Addons Linker so it can be loaded, unloaded easily. For those that bought vRAAS is it easy to use with Addons Linker? i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
