Ever since FS2024 was released I have been searching for an option to fully disable 2024's "native" ATC. Unfortunately I couldn't find this option and am now hoping that one (or more) of you gentlemen can shed some light on this issue.

Silly question but... I think it always runs in background for the ai so if you never press the atc button or key you'd never have to deal with it right? You could also delete the key assignment so it was not even selectable by accident. 

Forgive me if I'm missing the point!

Thank you Russell, I think you are right. I will delete the key assignment and disable the ATC icon in the toolbar as well.

Disable Default ATC

Follow these steps to disable the default ATC:

1. Settings > Accessibility

   • Turn Subtitles: OFF

2. Settings > Assistance (under Realism)

   • AI Radio Communications (ATC): OFF
   • ATC Enforce Flight Plan: OFF

3. Settings > General > Sound

   • Set Character Voice to 0

Thanks, Jcomm, setting character voice to 0 was the one step I have been omitting during my quest to disable ATC 🙂

Ya know, I am now a master in many fields of aviation, science, music, history, medicine,...,  since my old buddy Copilot came to live in my EDGE browser 🤣

It's possible to mantain only atc sound and not show the text box with the transcript?

I'm able to remove ATC in 2024 but the default models still spawn in although they never move. I can't find anything in the settings that prevent this.

Any ideas?

Turn off traffic in the graphics menu.  

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

However turning off character voices also turns of ATIS radio.  I think there's a Catch-22 here.
