Hi Guys

Found an excellent way to get BATC on another screen works awesome doesn't effect fps

You can do other screens also but for my needs I want BATC on it

Basically just go here and install windows client software from spacedesk and then go on your ipad or whatever device you have and install the app - had it working right away

Spacedesk server windows software install here https://www.spacedesk.net/download/ - then install spacedesk app on your ipad - all free

Here is video on it follow instructions

My biggest issue with a separate screen is that clicking outside MSFS to interact with the BATC program kills frame generation as it only works with the window in focus. This is also true of using it

  • I agree.  It drives me crazy too that I have to keep clicking on screen to return to BATC. I will post this in its discord too.

  • Thanks for the request. I have uploaded it now on flightsim.to BATC remote control for tablet/browser using AAO for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS

Appreciate the headsup!

All I did was download server software which I posted link to - went to app store loaded the app on my IPAD

Then I started flightsim 2024 - got into plane and then started BATC - went to IPAD started the spacedesk app - then tapped ip address tab as stated in video - went back into sim and dragged over the BATC program

You may not have ip configured to your pc yet maybe - Im a bit new to this IPAD to PC stuff

It probably worked for me because I setup my IPAD to work with Fenix efb long time a ago as I just got back into flightsim since 2024 launch

Try a YT video on how to setup ip to work from your device to windows - you need to have proper ip address for this to work

Spacedesk always used to add a bit too much latency for me.....how do you find it? Is there much of a delay in actioning things on your tablet to it occuring in sim?

Seems to be a good solution to have batc on my laptop, but what about sound and micro, you need to keep them on the desktop or the laptop?

My biggest issue with a separate screen is that clicking outside MSFS to interact with the BATC program kills frame generation as it only works with the window in focus. This is also true of using it on an iPad. It's annoying to have to click back into MSFS to force FG back on all the time.

I wish BATC could find a way to operate inside the sim, at least from an interaction standpoint.

ETA apparently there is a VR toolbar for MSFS that I'd overlooked, will give it a try.

I have a second monitor where I have my Alviasoft EFB displayed, and I put the BATC screen there with a joy stick button to toggle BATC display on and off.

There is workaround, although you lose the colorful interface.  VR Toolbar. https://wiki.beyondatc.net/resources/

Thanks to folks on BATC discord.

This is more akin to what I have been looking for thank you!!!  FSHUD has a listen port and a web interface and I always have my ATC window open on client machine as a web call rather than a second screen...  None of the loss of focus issues.

Going to research this today.

Have a Wonderful Day

Unfortunately the BATC davs say, that a remote solution is technically not possible at any time.

so, one need to buy AAO in any case to use my solution

Hi Guys great posts

I didn't notice any fps hit and also you can push menu buttons on IPAD screen - you don't have to use mouse but I used both ways

Sim stays full screen otherwise I wouldn't bother - not a fan f windowed mode

I do have a RTX4080 Super OC maybe that's why I'm not seeing any negatives

I cant remember if I had to right ALT mouse to drag screen or just drag it over - it was pretty late
