Aerosoft CRJ Update Preview Video

Featured Replies

There is real world CRJ FO who has been beta testing and streamed a few flights using v2. After seeing a little more of his stuff in YouTube, I’m cautiously optimistic.

That CRJ is 3 yrs old and they’re just getting around to fixing it?    It was the first payware product I purchased for 2020 and I will NEVER purchase an airplane from Aerosoft ever again.

  • Eh. Kinda burned out on Aerosoft's approach to addon support. They release something, full of bugs and leave it like that for months or years, then you realize said update is also full of problems, it

  • These comments blow me away as I have used the plane for years w/ no problems once I understood how it's FMC and navigation work, and albeit quirky in spots it's not that hard to figure out.   100's o

It's hyperbole like this that irks me.

The CRJ isn't "rotten food" that will make you sick, it's just not a High Fidelity addon.

Big difference, and the price reflects it.

and p.s.: I don't "claim" in re the price. It's grade school arithmetic. SMH.

One of the existing bugs literally make it unflyable. As in, displays freeze, no input is registered anymore. Hence, rotten apple.

The CRJ 550/700 is currently €51,25. After the update the only package available should be the bundle for €49,99... The Fenix A320 is £49,99 which converts to about €60. Please show your work on how to get to a 50% price difference from that. Maybe I will learn something still, but I guess you are ignoring sales tax on one but including it on the other. Talking about apples to apples.

Sigh...you're quoting current pricing, which changes the second the update releases.

And you're ignoring the number of variants included.

And AFAIK, the crash is only when using a single unsupported approach type.

Not good, but certainly not common, so not catastrophic. Unless you like being burned twice...?

Sigh, if you read the post, I'm quoting current pricing AND the announced price after the update.

You go for quantity over quality again, but that's your prerogative.

And you appear misinformed, you can crash the systems by just changing your flight plan in the FMS, no unsupported approach required. I have even tripped it up by just setting up the flightplan like I used to do on the real plane.

Anyway, I have had enough of the back and forth. Let's see on April 1st 🙂.

I just wonder if there's an issue with your flight sim or windows set up.

Today, I flew from Lyon to Nantes in an Air Hop CRJ-1000.  I had no issues with the flight, it captured the localiser correctly, there were no freezes, etc. - it was an enjoyable flight because of it being a great mix of automatic and manual control.  On a previous flight, I had to change the runway as a result of ATC, but the FMS handled it very well.

The CRJ, by its very nature is something that you need to keep on top of otherwise things can go astray such as monitoring the aircraft speed particularly at top of climb and during the descent.  But this makes the flight enjoyable as you can't rely on auto thrust.

Also, the CRJ seems to have a low impact on frame rates and it seems to run better than most of my other aircraft - I do have a 7-year old PC so I tend to notice this as my PC struggles to run well with some other aircraft, for example the Fenix A320 family.

So I'm looking forward to V2 very much as the changes look to be very helpful, although i don't bother going into the cabin!
