January 16, 20251 yr Noel, I also do not understand the permanent criticism regarding the FMC, autopilot, stability and so on. I love to fly it as much as my other tubeliners (PMDG, Fenix, Leonardo MD82, Justflight F28). You have sparked my interest as I value your opinion. Does it work in 2024 do you know, or am I waiting for the update? January 16, 20251 yr It has a few bugs but for the most part it works under normal circumstances and it fills the gap for me for a regional jet. There are so many A32Xs and most of them are very good but what I would really like to see is a quality A220.
January 17, 20251 yr It’s about time! In the time since this update was initially hinted, I have been hired, initially qualified, accumulated 1000+ hours, and upgraded to captain in the actual CRJ. 😂 Edited January 17, 20251 yr by snglecoil Chris

At this point I suspect the real CRJ's will be phased out of service before Aerosoft gets the bugs fixed. I definitely agree with "will NEVER purchase an airplane from Aerosoft ever again." I have just dusted off my CRJ-700, downloaded the latest update and before I started flying it again, I watched some very helpful YouTube videos. I've since flown the aircraft using what I've learned from the videos, and I have to say that the aircraft is great in my opinion. It is a combination of automation and hand flying - you have to maintain the aircraft speed after the aircraft has reached it's cruise altitude. May I suggest that you might try it again? As I mentioned above there are a lot of helpful videos out there.

As I mentioned above there are a lot of helpful videos out there. I just flew it last week. In addition to a lot of annoying little bugs (where did flex temp go? lol) the core issue is the same as the ATR - LNAV code is questionable at best, every system "just works" as soon as you flip the button, and the airplane just has a "not alive" feeling. Contrast this with the comparatively excellent 737NG, 737MAX, MD80, A320 offerings out there and you'll see what I mean. It's just not a mature product and has never been - I guess that's the best way to put it?
