Aerosoft CRJ Update Preview Video

Featured Replies

Noel,

I also do not understand the permanent criticism regarding the FMC, autopilot, stability and so on. I love to fly it as much as my other tubeliners (PMDG, Fenix, Leonardo MD82, Justflight F28).

Looking forward to the update,

Michael

That CRJ is 3 yrs old and they’re just getting around to fixing it?    It was the first payware product I purchased for 2020 and I will NEVER purchase an airplane from Aerosoft ever again.

  • Eh. Kinda burned out on Aerosoft's approach to addon support. They release something, full of bugs and leave it like that for months or years, then you realize said update is also full of problems, it

  • These comments blow me away as I have used the plane for years w/ no problems once I understood how it's FMC and navigation work, and albeit quirky in spots it's not that hard to figure out.   100's o

any news on the german public sector airbus ?

You have sparked my interest as I value your opinion.  Does it work in 2024 do you know, or am I waiting for the update?

CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D  RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090
Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

Don't use 2024 yet but sounds like a good idea to what for the update.

Cheers

Noel

It has a few bugs but for the most part it works under normal circumstances and it fills the gap for me for a regional jet. There are so many A32Xs and most of them are very good but what I would really like to see is a quality A220.

Why only the 900? Ignoring the other three models in the package.

It’s about time! In the time since this update was initially hinted, I have been hired, initially qualified, accumulated 1000+ hours, and upgraded to captain in the actual CRJ.  😂

Believe he's just showing the new features on the 900 model.

Just to confirm:

  • Aileron and elevator are centered?
  • Flight director is centered?

I really wanted to like the CRJ but the nav and AP bugs were just too much so I haven't flown it more than a handful of times. At this point I suspect the real CRJ's will be phased out of service before Aerosoft gets the bugs fixed.

I definitely agree with "will NEVER purchase an airplane from Aerosoft ever again."

I have just dusted off my CRJ-700, downloaded the latest update and before I started flying it again, I watched some very helpful YouTube videos.  I've since flown the aircraft using what I've learned from the videos, and I have to say that the aircraft is great in my opinion.  It is a combination of automation and hand flying - you have to maintain the aircraft speed after the aircraft has reached it's cruise altitude.

May I suggest that you might try it again? As I mentioned above there are a lot of helpful videos out there.

Has Aerosoft updated the CRJ's yet?

I have v1.0.18.0 installed and the updater program shows nothing newer available as of this writing.

I just flew it last week. In addition to a lot of annoying little bugs (where did flex temp go? lol) the core issue is the same as the ATR - LNAV code is questionable at best, every system "just works" as soon as you flip the button, and the airplane just has a "not alive" feeling. Contrast this with the comparatively excellent 737NG, 737MAX, MD80, A320 offerings out there and you'll see what I mean.

It's just not a mature product and has never been - I guess that's the best way to put it?
