Nvidia App, no optimize since latest FS 24' beta update ?

Featured Replies

And yes I've uninstalled and re-installed both the latest driver,  and latest Nvidia App version

Do you mean you want to optimise your MSFS2024 using the Nvidia app?  That is not always considered the best way.
Depending on your PC capabilities, it goes a bit astray sometimes.  You are better off spending  a few minutes finding your own settings in sim and leaving the Nvidia app out of it (from my experience at least).

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

If you did a clean install it will take a while for the app to detect FS2024 and download the necessary data.

I just reinstalled yesterday and all the FS2024 optimize options appear, but I agree with bobcat999 - use it as a guide only.

Remind me, where is the setting in that app to shut that auto optimize off?

I don't understand why anyone would want to use Nidia app to setup 2024? Then when something breaks or doesn't work, put the blame on Asobo

Under "Settings"

> Automatically optimize newly added games and apps  <OFF>

My understanding from @Sethos is that you will be forced to if you want to use DLSS4 through the native driver from NVIDIA when released on 1/30.

You can use DLSS setting the game settings menu. I just use the normal latest Nvidia driver
