Why MSFS 2024 has the best ground physics for a flight sim

Nope

Read the rest of the posts, this was already resolved and they admitted they were wrong.

Ok, so that's you technical explanation? Well ...

I've had that happen in the sim.

And Santa Claus has already flown by in my MSFS ... which definitively proves that my installation is borked 😅.

Oh no !!! 😮 It isn't (be advised: not my video)

Explain to me.

The Edge 540 in XP12 (that would be an aerobatic plane) refuses to lift off despite 80+knot surface wind on the nose in XP12. It stalls at 58kts fully loaded.

It's a taildragger meaning its three point stance essentially offers an angle of attack (Yes, even despite its symmetrical Airfoil)

This plane -available for free at the .org - is considered the best aerobatic airfoil for x-plane. It is absolutely superb (have you flown aerobatics IRL, did you enjoy it?).

But in your POV, X-plane is not a realistic platform since it is unable to simulate extremes?

86kts right on the nose. Almost 30kts above stall speed.  But the plane still stands despite trying full aft elevators. Odd.

I really doubt showing their duality is going to get them to change their mind. They're not actually trying discuss this topic matter in good faith. So approaching them with rationality or any kind of proof is a wasted effort.

I really am puzzled how they haven't ended up the same way as Franz at this point.

You can't expect a logical conversation when only half the participants are using logic 😉

I once loaded into Out Skerries in Scotland without realizing there was a bad storm happening at the time and my plane immediately got blown away as soon as I hit the fly now button lol.

You are aware that we are here in the MSFS forum (not in the X-Plane forum) and talking about MSFS ground physics? But if you want to talk about the Edge 540 ... you (might?) be aware that the Edge is not made for XP 12? And you (might?) be aware that XP 12 got an overhaul in flight modeling. Conclusion? The Edge is not FULLY functional (or shall we say, differently?) in XP 12 due to that fact. Whereas the A330 and C172 in MSFS 2024 allegedly are supposed to be adapted to the new ground physics. However - nobody knows, at least nobody here in the forum. As the cfg-files are encrypted (another 'improvement' in 2024, that not only I am ‘happy’ about) we can't even verify what was changed and how.

Use version 1.1.

"About This File

Modification to update the Edge 540 of ThomW to XP12. This only includes new, replacement .acf and airfoil files - you must have the original aircraft installed for this to work."

https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/88715-edge-540-xp12-mod/

So again, what is your explanation?

Are you aware what a fool you are making of yourself with every single post? Your obnoxious refusal to acknowledge every singe valid argument, posted against your flawed and shortsighted views, makes it very hard to take anything you say seriously. I word not allowed myself for having wasted time on you again.

It's probably because there is condensation on the runway. Or because 83 kts is way above normal wind. Or any other nonsense which I have read here before.

Quick and dirty test.

Apart from that ... well-known and tested tactic: when you run out of arguments, you become personally insulting.

If people don't even recognise that a A330 at 83 kts crosswind shows zero reaction until he reaches 60 kts then I don't know what to say either.

Thank you for confirming that the Edge 540 is unable to lift off in 83kts headwind on its own.

Oh no, I was not personally insulting you, don't go there please. I was pointing out what I quoted below:

So yes, with this attitude, I think you are making a fool of yourself, because you keep arguing without acknowledging you may also be (partly) wrong. That's not discussion as far as I'm concerned. That's trying to be right no matter what. But whatever, have it your way. Cheers.

Just put them on your ignore list and move on. No amount of providing proof will change their mind. It's set in stone.
