February 18, 20251 yr Author I'm an old hand of moving stuff in and out of Official during the 2020 era. Using Addon Linker to do it. Depending which AoL folder structure the planes or airports are stored in, AoL will move them in and out of either community or official with a single mouse click. That was surely easier for me than using MSFS content manager to download from the cloud which was ridiculously slow. If your assets are in or under your AoL designated official folder structure, then AoL knows to move them in and out of either MSFS 2020 official or 2024 official with a single mouse click and it knows not to move them in and out of community when you click. I've had some marketplace 2020 airports that won't work in 2024. The planes have all worked so far. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. I know that in the world of computers, time behaves in a different way to the rest of the world, but to consign MSFS 2020 to a different era after 91 days is moving really fast. As long as you have no conflicts, you should have no issues, agreed. 🙂 However, it seems to me that over time, you are going to have addon liveries for these airplanes, and in 2020, the addons always took precedence, because they were in a different (higher priority) folder. All I am trying to do, is set up 2024 in a similar way.. 🙂 Bert
February 18, 20251 yr Author Soon the 2024 Marketplace will arrive and solve these issues. And very quickly updates will cure any and all of 2024's issues. New computer hardware will become much cheaper. Avsim will remove all the yellow frowning smile faces, because everyone will be happy. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. March 19, 20251 yr Is it possible to transfer aircraft that are streamed from the 2020 marketplace to the 2024 community folder? I bought the Cessna 414 Cardinal during a sale from the 2020 marketplace; therefore it is available in my 2024 library. However, it's performance is...less than wonderful. Could I transfer the streamed files to a permanent location that would let me use this aircraft in 2024?
