Winwing gets crazy

Featured Replies

EFIS LEFT and FCU. Ordered on the 5th April, and both arrived on 11th April. 6 days. Both were listed as "In stock". However, the EFIS LEFT is now only available on "preorder".

They were shipped from Chino (Los Angeles) which is where the WinWing USA warehouse is located. Asia is closer to Western USA and so they unload shipments in Los Angeles, the largest port city on the West coast.

I think Pimax does the same, my PCL was shipped from City of Industry which is also a Los Angeles suburb.

  • I wonder whether Winwing espouses the "just in time" manufacturing principle (scaled to their size). Given the flight simulator market for these specialised products isn't exactly gargantuan it makes

  • Perfect timing for my 2nd CDU's to arrive for the 777 and 737.  I have the mount all ready to go with my tablet keeping the spot warm LOL 🙂  Just noticed it's time for a step climb too LOL

Ordered in January and now April is why I dont have one. It appears that Biden took the orders when he was booted from office...

Did you get the email to pay?  Which site did you use, local shipping or global from China?

I cancelled my local and changed to global and then I got the email to pay.

I did not get any email to pay. The reason is that both items were "in stock" and I paid right then. An email to pay comes into play only when you purchase an item in the cart marked "available for preorder".  You don't pay until it is available. And you know it has become available when you receive an email from winwing. If you don't answer their email and pay, your order is cancelled and at that point you never will have paid.

There was a choice of shipment from China or from local warehouse. I chose local because it was listed as instock at my local warehouse.

I also preordered a MCDU. I predict a long wait. If I had a choice when I made the preorder between ship from China or local warehouse, I forget which I chose. It could be that I was not asked to make a choice, and they won't ask me to choose until it is in stock.

I used Paypal. I'm reluctant to give credit card details over the internet, especially to someone in China.

I live in Norther California, in a large city. Thanks for your reply. WinWig doesn't answer my  emails. In my email I posted a picture of the error which their website cart popped up. Apparently, they don't care enough about losing a sale to respond. I can guarantee that Amazon would have responded. They know how to make money and have grown to be enormous because of that.

I live in Northern California too.  I received this item after ordering from the Winwing website in 5 days' time.

Here's a cut-n-paste about the "de minimis exemption":

" The de minimis exemption, which allowed low-value imports (under $800) to enter the U.S. duty-free, is undergoing significant changes. Starting May 2, 2025, goods from China and Hong Kong will no longer qualify for this exemption. Items sent through the international postal network will face a 30% duty or a minimum $25 charge per item, increasing to $50 per item after June 1, 2025. This move aims to curb deceptive shipping practices and address concerns about contraband entering the U.S.  "

Thank you, bofhlusr, for that example of fulfillments by winwing.

My own order was shipped from an address in a suburb of Los Angeles (presumably a warehouse used by winwing for storage) to me in NorCal. I don't know how long before it was shipped from there, it had arrived from China to that warehouse which I presume would be when any tariff might apply.

I do know that YT videos from a month or three ago giving prices of Winwing panels show prices below what they are now on Winwing's site. The MCDU used to be $119 and now is about $135. It may go up in price or down as time goes on.

PFP3N not working for me. MCP working fine however.

1.Fix the problem that PFP3N devices are not displayed on IFLY 737MAX8 models with MSF2020.

2.PFP7 device supports PMDG 777 Freighter model with MSF2020.

3.PAP.N.3N.1.1 device supports PMDG 777 Freighter of MSF2020.

Fixed and now both working for me in iFly, however, a bit of annoyance. The FMC buttons are in a different position between the 737-800 and the Max. So, pressing DEP/ARR on the Winwing unit actually takes you to the HOLD page. CLB takes you to DEP/ARR and so on...

I am now not ordering anymore winwing items from China !!

I now have 5 items and the first three came without customs duties but the last two did .

So i now will wait the EU shop can do my orders because saving a lot of money  ( inclusive shipping ) if i do so..

OK, that takes a lot longer for i get them but saving the money is far more important for me than to contribute to these outrageous costs that are demanded.

Germany here..

cheers 😉

Perfect timing!  Ordered last week, both units arrived in separate boxes entirely today. (clearly not streamlining shipping)
