March 27, 20251 yr Yup I ordered within 2 minutes of them opening up orders from their Canada site. Seemed logical to me at the time, living in Canada that I would choose that option. They don't explain at all the relationship between the various sites and how you get stuck waiting behind orders on the global site. I has still heard nothing a week ago so reached out to them, and they still didn't have any idea when the Canada orders would be shipped out. Thanks to what I learned here I had enough and canceled entirely my pre-order and instead ordered from the global site. My Airbus MCDU and 737 FMS have both already been shipped and will arrive on Tuesday. It's going to work out more expensive than the order from the Canadian store, but at least I'll actually finally have my units in hand and not just be sitting around waiting for who knows how long.
March 27, 20251 yr I preordered from the Canadian store and got my purchase email a couple days ago and a tracking number for UPS yesterday. When you preorder they don't charge you anything. You get an email for payment when the item is ready to ship. Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
March 27, 20251 yr Author OK to say, if i would order at the eu side ( here germany ) and they could deliver I wouldn't have paid shipping costs. This is of course different from the china side where you pay the shipping, plus-minus 40 bucks depending on what you order. That would be the disadvantage but if I don't want to wait forever I pay that and get it faster. cheers 😉 Edited March 27, 20251 yr by pmplayer 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.
March 27, 20251 yr I wonder if anyone here has purchased from WinWing during the last week. I cannot buy from their website, it says it cannot ship to my residence. We receive foreign shipments here all the time from other sellers. I emailed WinWing days ago from 2 different spots. They have not replied. They won't reply ever is my guess. I'm thinking they don't want to accept orders from USA until they know there won't be any tariffs when they finally ship it. Let's say you pay $90 when ordering, and then it's $135 when they ship due to tariffs. A big loss for WinWing. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. I doubt that Trump cares whether a toy that only works with a video game is made in the US or not, so no tariffs are not going to be a factor. On another note, you didn't indicate where you live. I ordered the MCDU plus the entire Glarewing over the last week or two and received them with no fuss here in the Atlanta area. The MCDU is in stock on the global shipping area, the Glarewing was good to go with North America shipping.

WinWig doesn't answer my emails. In my email I posted a picture of the error which their website cart popped up. Apparently, they don't care enough about losing a sale to respond. I can guarantee that Amazon would have responded. They know how to make money and have grown to be enormous because of that. March 28, 20251 yr Just for your information , the MCP was reported as being available for pre-order, however the website shows the MCP without the magnetic A/T switch as available now. I was able to order and pay for mine and is now at “shipping in progress” status. I’ll be using it in VR to spin my MCP knobs so no real use for the magnetic function of the switch personally . I guess if you’re in a hurry to grab one you could buy the standard MCP now while it’s available, and then buy the magnetic switch on it’s own when that becomes available and install it later. 787 captain. I preordered on the Canadian storefront on the day that the MCDU was made available. I received my "Pay for your preorder" email on 21 March, shipping notification arrived on 25 March and I received it in my hot little hands yesterday (27 March). I don't have to have the gear instantly and I honestly don't mind waiting for my preorders especially since WinWing doesn't take my money until they are ready to ship me the product unlike so many other companies (*cough* Virpil *cough*) who have happily taken my preorder money months and months ago with nary a peep about shipping me my product.

Trump doesn't have to care. If there's a blanket 25% tariff on imports from China, then these things are going to be subject to the tariff. It's not like he's sitting in the Oval Office with his Sharpie going down the list of every item ever imported from China and marking yes or no. And if I were selling something made in China right now, I absolutely would be worried about tariffs because tariffs are collected when the product clears customs, not when the purchaser clicks "buy now." If they sell something now and ship it after a new tariff goes into effect, they either have to go back to the customer and demand more money or they have to pay for the tariff themselves, which would quickly erode profits. On the flip side if they sell something now and collect for the tariff that's currently in place, and then Trump pauses the tariff (which he is suggesting he will do), they've now overcharged all their customers and you absolutely know those customers are going to squawk about it. The announced price at Expo was $129 for the non-switch version. It is now $149 so something caused the price to go up $20. Edited March 28, 20251 yr by BrammyH

That's pretty false. As far as I have seen for China the tariffs are across the board right now at 10%. He doesn't really care what the product is! Without getting political, tariffs are/will probably be implemented in some way on all Chinese produced products.
