Aerosoft release EDDL/DUS (Düsseldorf) airport for MSFS2024

Featured Replies

Wow what a surprise!
Aerosoft has just released EDDL / DUS (Düsseldorf) airport for MSFS2024.
There was no announcement before that they would release this airport.
From the video it looks great, also has the TV tower and some bridges as I see. Nice!
Anyone bought it already?
MK is also making this airport I think. But Aerosoft Jo Erle is always good for quality.

I got it.  Saw it was a Jo Erlend Sund scenery.  No brainer.

Had a quick pop in to look around and it's awesome as expected.

MKs looks good also, but Joe is A tier plus-plus.

I think that the MK Studios version will also be available for MSFS 2020......

Not true. It was known for a while that Jo was working on Düsseldorf and that it would release in Spring this year.

No there was no Aerosoft announcement.

Just bought it, Jo-Erland's airports are right up there with some of the best.

I'm still satisfied with 2020... I can't see myself migrating to 2024 anytime soon. Is the market really that big already to justify developments for one platform only?

Not trying to start a Sim flame war, just because you made a decision not to move on, does not apply to developers on who they want to market to the latest sim. It's going to happen eventually. I still have 2020 running on my system and still use it not as often as 2024. But if and when 2024 finally stabilizes, 2020 is gone. Why would I buy anything for something that's going to get put out to pasture in the future?

Why would any of us? Because we still enjoy flying in MSFS 2020, and the chances are that we would be able to upgrade to the MSFS 2024 version for a minimal charge (or free of charge) at a later date. Developers will obviously want to make products for the latest simulator, but I am betting that there is still a significant market for MSFS 2020 airport addons.

Yes. ENGM, EDDF, EDDK are others.

Where have I heard that before?

Oh I remember: Everytime a new version is released, the people who don't want to move on, claim the same. FSX comes out: "I'm betting there is still a significant market for FS9".

P3D comes out: "I'm betting there is still a signficant marekt for FSX"

etc...

I will not argue with you on that point. I will not at this date and time buy anything for 2020 unless developer states it will be updated to 2024 in near future.
