KDFW, is it fixed in FS 2024?

Featured Replies

I don't have 2024, but am curious, since KFDW has been broken in MS 2020 since day one, with runway and taxiway problems that will wreck your aircraft and blurry runways and taxiways,  and 100's of complaints on their official forum, did they manage to fix this in 2024, or is it still broken?

Nope.  Not fixed.  Imaginesim just released their 2020 version of KDFW with a 2024 version coming out soon, but no idea how decent or not decent it would be.  Airport is too large which is probably why no reputable developer of sceneries has taken on the project - they'd probably have to charge $50 for the addon LOL.

Sincerely,

Dennis D. Müllert

That is unbelievable that in over 4 years Asobo can't fix one of the busiest airports in the world.

I don’t have any issues with it. Can’t remember if I disabled anything on the library for FS2024. However, in FS2020, I always had to disable the city update 3 PG.

Yes, and I did that about 2 years ago, but I would have thought by now they would have fixed it.

They are probably busy working on improving the airbus fleet. 😀

I found that removing this folder "fs-base-coverage-map-us2-tin" from OneStore folder fixed the texture issues without disabling USA 3D PG.

I'm sure that they are aware of the issue, but have chosen to disregard it. They also forgot about the "black lines" on the river near KPDX airport. They have been told many times to fix it.

Seems this is a core pillar of their development strategy, covering a number of issues.

This is all a valid complaint at MS/Asobo however the next city update is new photogrammetry for Dallas and also Ft. Worth I believe.  This leads me to believe that perhaps they are waiting on this as it will likely encompass most of the metroplex surrounding KDFW.  If it's still broken after that update then I would definitely bring out the pitchforks and fire sticks.....

I did a flight from KDFW default, to KBOS and found no issues taxing from gate to runway and TO.

Unlike 2020, I have had absolutely NO issues with it in 2024.
