My guess would be you issue voice commands, e.g., Gear Down, Flaps 5, Landing lights on, etc, in place of using the mouse or pushing a button. I suppose you could interpret that as giving commands to your copilot. Some years ago back in my P3D days before MSFS came along I used a program called Voice Attack that let me issue verbal commands to control aircraft functions. If certainly worked, but you had to speak slowly and distinctly and the program would "learn" your voice. I would expect voice recognition techniques have improved quite a bit since those days. Al Indeed, that's exactly what the app does. You can map almost all available simconnect events to whatever phrase you want, also you can do the same to query aircraft, flight or environment variables through SimVars. The mappings are totally configurable, and you can have as many profiles as possible. A set of preconfigured profiles are provided. Yes, the voice recognition has advanced a lot in the years, and the app recognition rate is very, very high. There is no need of training anything, just install, configure some commands, or use the provided ones, start any flight and speak your desired command... Good pronunciation isn't required too. I invite you all to try it, and join the alpha, it's off course, totally free and will entitle you to have free access to the final product. Perhaps the "Copilot" in the name may be ambitious but is what the app is aimed for, to be you flight assistant and companion.

June 2, 20251 yr So it is similar to what Multi Crew Experience has been doing now for the past ten years or so? MCE covers ATC, cabin crew, ground crew and the copilot who will go through check-lists, work flows on demand and execute whatever you ask for. So that we can understand better your objectives, what would your product do that MCE does not please? June 2, 20251 yr I use Voice Attack still and will be glad to use a more modern voice recognition software. VA uses MS default Speech Recognition Engine and it’s not great. FSFO also uses the same engine, but I haven’t used it. MCE is limited to the planes it supports. So can your product support any aircraft and what speech recognition engine are you using? I mainly fly GA, helicopters and bush planes but still find the need for voice commands to execute certain commands. Hoping, this will be versatile enough to support any type of flying or use case.

July 3, 2025Jul 3 Author SimVoice Copilot Final Alpha Announcement We are approaching the end of the SimVoice Copilot Alpha! Alpha test entry acceptance will close on August 1st at 00:00 UTC, and we plan to publicly launch the app at the end of September. A huge thank you to everyone who has participated so far, shared your feedback, and helped us shape this project. Your support and ideas have been truly invaluable. As a token of our gratitude, everyone who actively contributed feedback during the Alpha period will receive free access to the pro version of SimVoice Copilot once it launches. Latest Features and Improvements: New Parameterized Events: Control altitude, heading, vertical speed, and autopilot settings with voice commands and specific values. Dynamic Number Recognition: Speak numbers naturally (e.g., “set altitude to two three zero or thirty two thousand”) and the app will interpret them as parameters. Callouts (SimVar Queries): Instantly request key simulator variables by voice (such as current speed, density altitude, wind, heading, fuel, etc…) and the app will speak back the values. Keyboard Command Mapping: Map any phrase to a keyboard shortcut or key combination. Profile Management: Easily switch between different voice command profiles and import/export your mappings. In-App Console: View recognized and executed commands in real time inside the app. Customizable Responses: Set up personalized voice confirmations for each command. Stability and Bug Fixes: Improved detection of when the aircraft is loaded, plus fixes for command execution, green highlighting for parameterized commands, and persistent settings. What’s next?
