Hello, my configuration MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER VENTUS 2X OC [GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G VENTUS 2X OC], Intel I7-14700KF, ZALMAN ALPHA2 A36 Black,MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI, Deepcool PK800D, 800W, 80+ Bronze, 4k 160 ghz screen,Cougar Airface Pro RGB. All new, not used before

On small planes like Aeroprakt A22 i have GPU usage 99% and СPU usage 17-20.(first screenshot)

But on Boeing PMDG 777 i have 50-70% GPU usage and 17% CPU usage.(second screenshot)

Help me anyone pls!!!!!((((

Easy: if GPU is around 95-99%, you are GPU limited. If it is below 90%, you are CPU limited, no matter what those CPU percentages tell.

More than likely that CPU percentage is across all 20 of the cores, rather than on the cores that the sim is running on.

Typically, the p-cores will be heavily tasked, and the e-cores not so much.  With that sort of core loading, an average across all of them is misleading.

Is it accompanied by low fps? There are two conditions where GPU usage is abnormally low. First, the VRAM bug in msfs 2024. The low GPU usage is accompanied by abnormally lower temp. Second, you're in a low power mode, this can be due to very low battery so it doesn't have enough voltage to power up your GPU demand, simply unplug and replug your battery charger

You forgot full CPU limit condition...

How i can unlock my cpu?

What you are seeing is normal.. no help required.

i would add that I have a very similar config to yours, and have chosen to lock my fps to 100% monitor refresh in the sim, which for me is 60 fps.  That reduces my GPU load quite a bit and my PC runs quieter and cooler.  Personal choice 😉

17% usage and low fps on this configuration? I think it's not normal

Agreed. Same here. Very similar specs. No worries!

What do you mean by "low fps"?

I have the same CPU as you and see similar usage.. which is a normal "average usage" for a CPU that has 20 cores, some of which are heavily used and others that are not..

36 fps its low for this configuration, my friend have similar system and he have 60 fps

Yes, the CPU percentage is an average of all cores. It takes just one of the threads to max out and you're CPU limited, or more preciecly limited by the main thread.

That's why more complex aircraft gives your GPU more time to breathe.

I'm sure work could be done to utilize all the CPU cores more efficiently, and I'm also sure the devs are looking into this for future updates.

At least I hope they are.

In that case talk to your friend.. maybe he has a 1080p monitor instead of your 4k monitor.. 😉

He is probably running at 2k instead of 4k, as you should too with that GPU. I have the same and have lots more FPS than you, but I use it at 2K.
