Did they fix the sounds? That's all I want.

Nope.

  • Developers all work at their own pace??? Well thanks for letting us know! And what does PMDG releasing aircraft for MSFS 2024 have to do with helping MSFS 2024 momentum and adoption? Think hard and it

  • Loving the 2024 floodgates opening for all our existing favorite aircraft add-ons and new ones! Let's keep 'em coming 🙂

  • Great to see they updated the 777-300ER in MS 2020 too.

Indeed. They seem to be simple ports that are not fully compatible. I saw a similar pattern on the belly of the KLM Oranje livery.

Porting is what they do best from sim to sim.

Absolutely, I'm working on adjusting some items, but it is very challenging due to gauge coding related to that poor implementation of the C*U interference. If you're interested, you can look out for a PM. It's more likely to be for the 772 initially.

Please ping me with a pm when it's ready, would love to give it a go.

I did a JFK to London flight and performance is great, up there with all the PMDG product quality.

I have not noticed any performance issues with the 777F in MSFS 2020. It feels much the same as my 737-600.

same here must be  our low end gtx cards we using 🙂

The sounds have definitely changed in the -300.  Also nice to see it's now available for me in 24 at no cost.

But on my 5.1 system the groan of the engines, sounds of clicks and things like spoilers arming is definitely more pronounced.

Cockpit rattles have always sounded good on my end.

I've never sat in the flight deck of a -300 so can't speak to their accuracy but I don't think they are bad by any means.

Performance seems improved with the -300 in 2020

Nice update.

My criticism of the sounds in the 777F is restricted to muffled sounds of various switches in the VC. Have these been improved?

The "click" sounds of the runway turn off, taxi and strobe light switches are still barely audible, so they have not been sorted out. There are a couple of new "whine" sounds during the "ready for taxi" system initialisation sequence. I am not sure what they are.

hmmm, I hear them fine over here.

My only complaint is it's now "too" quiet during taxi.  Takeoff roll has the rattling I would expect but most of the rattles seem to be gone during taxi.

But all of the light switches are clearly audible on my end.

What is your speaker setup?  I run 5.1 surround.

They are audible, but they are exceptionally quiet compared to the 737-600.

Hmmmmm, Don't see it listed as available for OC3....?

Chris Camp

Do you mean when you run OC3 itself, or as information on the PMDG website?

There was a barely if any at all touchdown sounds either. Put mine in the hangar.

Again, Can I ask if you guys are running 5.1?  I have more than adequate touchdown sounds and clear sounds of the light switches as well.

The only thing that seems to have been a regression was I felt I had more rattles when I was taxiing prior to the last build.

But I have very clear touchdown sounds and switches/buttons in the flight deck.

I have my center channel turned up as well.

I gave it a quick spin earlier this morning and I'm liking the performance. Like it was in 2020.

Looking forward to Asobo fixing the sim issues at large airports and I'll be lining up my first longhaul in 2024.
